BTS' J-Hope's Hair Evolution Proves He Can Rock Any Style Whatsoever

It's time for me to talk about Mr. Jung Hoseok, otherwise known as J-Hope from BTS. J-Hope is like the king when it comes to rocking different hairstyles, so much so that the BTS ARMY gives him different nicknames whenever he's sporting different looks. Besides J-Hope, fans also call the BTS member Hoseok, Hobi, and Jay, which is so amazing. I mean, what other celebs can say they have four names? J-Hope isn't shy when it comes to expressing himself through fashion and that's just one of the reasons why the ARMY admires him. One of the ways J-Hope experiments with his appearance is through changing up his hair. BTS' J-Hope's hair evolution shows he's not afraid to experiment with bold looks and that he can always pull them off.

Out of all the BTS members, Jimin and V have probably changed up their hair colors the most. (I'm not kidding. They've probably gone through the whole rainbow and then some.) But that doesn't mean that the other members haven't changed their hair in different ways. Members like Jungkook, Suga, RM, Jin, and J-Hope have dyed their hair several times, too, but they've also styled their hair differently for every BTS era. Sometimes, you just have to pay attention to catch those details. BTS' J-Hope's hair evolution is one of my personal faves, so let's take a look back at all of J-Hope's different hairstyles.

,

June 2013: Jet Black Tousled Hair

When BTS debuted, J-Hope sported jet black hair with a tousled look. It definitely gave him that "bad boy" vibe, and whenever J-Hope wanted to take it up a notch, he would just cover his hair with a bandana.

August 2014: Honey Brown With Layers

BTS attended KCON in Los Angeles for the very first time in August 2014. Back then, J-Hope dyed his hair honey brown and styled his hair in layers.

October 2014: Dark Red & Smooth

The "War of Hormone" music video had the BTS members acting like schoolboys, so to give J-Hope that youthful look, he had his hair dyed a dark red.

December 2014: Dark Brown & Smooth

By the end of 2014, J-Hope returned to a darker hairstyle. He rocked dark brown hair with a smooth style.

October 2016: Orange & Parted

I bet you the BTS ARMY would probably rank Wings as one of BTS' best eras. I mean, just look at J-Hope's hair. It was orange and parted down the middle. There's just something about a little bit of exposed forehead that gives J-Hope a more mature look.

December 2016: Light Blonde

The orange hair didn't last long. By the end of 2016, J-Hope went light blonde, and boy, did he look good.

February 2017: Pink & Purple Ombre

For BTS' "Spring Day" music video, J-Hope styled his hair to have a pink and purple ombre color to it.

May 2017: Smooth Black Style

At the 2017 Billboard Music Awards, J-Hope showed off a smooth black hairstyle, which matched the rest of the BTS members' brunette hair at the time.

September 2017: Bright Red

J-Hope surprised everyone, and I mean everyone, when he showed off bright red hair for BTS' "DNA" music video, which released in September 2017.

November 2017: Bright Red & Parted

Surprisingly, J-Hope kept his hair bright red for a few months, all the way until BTS' 2017 American Music Awards appearance. He rocked the look so well that non-fans who were curious to find out his name called him "the guy with the red hair." ICONIC.

March 2018: Brown & Wavy

March 2018 was all about J-Hope's mixtape, Hope World. For his "Daydream" music video, J-Hope crimped his hair to give it a wavy appearance.

April 2018: Brown & Curly

Oh my god, this was by far one of my fave looks on J-Hope. He should definitely style his hair in curls more often because he looks so good with that style.

May 2018: Black With Purple Clip-Ins

BTS' "Fake Love" era was so iconic. During this time, J-Hope had black hair and added some purple clip-ins as accessories to make his hair appear to have purple highlights. It was just another example of how J-Hope is never afraid to try new looks.

October 2018: Black & Natural

I think this was the fluffiest J-Hope's hair ever looked. It just looked so natural and so damn soft that it makes me wish I could just touch it once. I mean, just look at it!

November 2018: Dark Brown & Loose Curls

Do yourself a favor and click on the post above because you'll see that J-Hope's hairstylist really went in for the details on his hair. J-Hope had his hair styled to have loose curls and they looked so gorgeous on him.

December 2018: Dark Brown & Parted

At the end of 2018, J-Hope kept his hair dark brown, but this time, he exchanged the curls for a soft, natural hairstyle.

April 2019: Light Brown With Long Bangs

BTS made their first comeback of 2019 with Map of the Soul: Persona and their single "Boy With Luv." To kick off the new era, J-Hope changed his hair color to a light brown shade and rocked long bangs.

May 2019: Brown & Tousled

J-Hope went for the tousled look while on the Love Yourself: Speak Yourself tour, and once again, he totally slayed it.

July 2019: Brown & Wet

There isn't a style that J-Hope can't pull off, including the "wet" look.

August 2019: Long & Wavy

Just like his BTS bandmate Jungkook, who has long hair right now, J-Hope seems to have let his hair grow, too. In this selfie, J-Hope looked so confident and cute at the same time and his hair just added to his fabulous appearance, didn't it?

August 2019: Covered With A Beanie

OK, is anyone else getting really suspicious of J-Hope? Lately, it seems that all his selfies include him wearing a beanie, which could mean he's hiding the next hair color and style ARMYs will be blessed with come comeback season.

J-Hope slays every hairstyle and color and it just makes me wonder what he has up his sleeve for BTS' next comeback, which fans think will be sometime in October. Will J-Hope surprise fans with a bright hair color again, or will he keep his hair a brunette shade? It could be really anything, so prepare yourselves, ARMY!

Khloé Kardashian’s New Comments About Tristan Thompson & Jordyn Woods Are So Mature

Almost seven months after the Tristan Thompson and Jordyn Woods scandal rocked the KarJenner clan, Khlo Kardashian is letting her fans know that she's over the drama. On Friday, Sept. 6, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star made an appearance on Ryan Seacrest's radio show where she opened up about co-parenting with her ex and how she's putting her past behind her. Khlo Kardashian's new comments about Tristan Thompson and Jordyn Woods get real about how she's not letting it get to her anymore and how "that chapter is closed" for her.

On Sept. 6, the fitness mogul revealed that while it was understandably hard for her when the news that Woods and Thompson reportedly hooked up surfaced, she's ready for the world to let it go.

"Im not someone who holds a grudge. If I do that its only going to affect me," she told Seacrest when he asked about her feelings about her former family friend and the father of her child. "That chapter is closed for me. I want all of us to move on and to be happy, successful people. I just want everyone to just be better people with each day. Thats genuinely how I feel."

She continued by revealing that while she doesn't feel like some of the apologies were "sincere," she's left it behind her.

"I know everybody makes mistakes," Kardashian continued. "I think its how you handle it, and I think apologies need to be as loud as your disrespect was or to me, its not sincere. Im forgiving. Im forgiven."

Her latest comments come just months after she took to Instagram on July 17 to set the record straight on her feelings for her ex after a commenter wrote, "I know Khloe hates Tristan but baby True starting to look just like him."

"Why would I ever hate anyone who helped create such an angel?" she commented back. "People make mistakes but I wont hurt my own healing by holding on to hate. Im too busy raising my beautiful baby and securing that [money] to hate any individual. Sweet True has always looked like her daddy. Shes beautiful!!"

While she might be in a better place now, it wasn't always that way. During the Sept. 6 interview, Kardashian also got real about how hard it was co-parenting the couple's daughter True shortly after the news broke that the NBA star kissed Woods during a party. At the time, the couple was preparing to celebrate True turning 1.

"True's birthday was just a couple weeks after all of that stuff happened. So everything was really raw and fresh, and that was really hard," she told Ryan Seacrest.

She continued, "You're going to see that in the first episode [of Keeping Up With The Kardashians], really how we even came to the point where I even invited Tristan to her first birthday. I always wanted that to be obviously a mommy and daddy thing. In my family, it is everyone who is going through this breakup. So I knew in my family it was going to be a lot of high tension, but I still wanted to do what was best for True."

In other words, it sounds like Kardashian has moved on, and she's ready for the rest of us to do so as well.

Jennifer Lopez is the total package. With the triple threat of singing, acting, and dancing, it's not a surprise she's one of the biggest global stars around. If you're a huge fan of J.Lo and can't wait for her upcoming feature in Hustlers, you'll want to check out this video of Jennifer Lopez mastering pole dancing for Hustlers. Her staunch dedication and hard work in mastering the pole dance routine is seriously inspiring.

The new 13-minute video on J.Lo's Youtube is called "How I Mastered the Pole Dance." It features the 50-year-old actress preparing for her role as the confident, veteran stripper Ramona in Hustlers, and she looks absolutely rockin' in it. It starts off 4 months before production begins, with Lopez and her pole dancing instructor rehearsing. Lopez starts off by stretching before putting on sky high stripper heels to learn the exact hand placement and hip twists to create master stripper slides down the pole. It quickly becomes clear that pole dancing is definitely not easy.

Jennifer Lopez on YouTube

With a fierce gaze, Lopez shows off her incredible strength when she practices the mind-boggling twists. She routinely has to undergo painful moments. In one moment, she expresses that "it just hurts so much right there," showing off all the bruises she earned from her training sessions. Seeing Lopez keep going even after these challenges while learning the mechanics and movement really highlights her perseverance to succeed. As rehearsals continue and Lopez is shown practicing day after day, she narrates the hours that went into preparing for the role as a stripper. Lopez explains that "this is just as hard as anything as I've ever learned, it might be one of the hardest," highlighting the warrior attitude she has that keeps her going.

Seeing Lopez finally take her routine to the stage and actually film the Hustlers scene is so exciting, and her growth as a pole dancer is amazing. She's seriously goals and looks magnificent in her glittery outfit during showtime. After the scene is filmed, it's an emotional moment for Lopez. The production team comes to the star to compliment her on the amazing job and Lopez says that she "feel[s] like crying a little bit," explaining that she had to overcome some serious nerves and self-questioning. She shares: "It's super different from anything I've ever done. I was super nervous when I first walked out, I was like what am I doing with my life right now?"

This teaser of the film definitely makes me want to catch the release of Hustlers, which comes out on Sept. 13. It has a star-studded cast that includes Constance Wu as Destiny, a fellow stripper, along with Cardi B, Lili Reinhart, Keke Palmer, Julia Styles, and Lizzo. The film centers around Ramona and Destiny, who become involved in a plot to embezzle money from businessmen that visit their club after the financial crisis. The comedy-drama definitely seems like an entertaining hit that won't disappoint. Especially after seeing the behind-the-scenes grit of J.Lo, I'm even more excited to see how all her hard work pans out on the big screen.

Michael B. Jordan’s Response To Zendaya Wearing The Same Suit As Him Is Perfect

Michael B. Jordan might have it down when it comes to slaying a red carpet, but the Black Panther star is not afraid to concede his sartorial crown when it's warranted. So, when he and Zendaya had an unexpected "Who wore it better" moment and the Euphoria star put her own spin on a menswear trend, he didn't hesitate to give her kudos for the move. Michael B. Jordans response to Zendaya wearing the same suit as him applauds her for her choice, because it's such a power look.

When it comes to fashion-forward A-listers, Zendaya constantly comes out towards the top of the list for consistently stepping out in fresh looks that are never stale. Personally, she's one of the stars that I always look out for at the annual Met Gala (I mean, who can forget this year's camp Cinderella-inspired ensemble that lit up once the actress hit the red carpet), and she rarely makes a sartorial misstep when doing the press rounds for her latest movies and TV shows.

Her secret weapon is "image architect" and stylist Law Roach, who's been helping The Greatest Showman actress put together ~looks~ that channel her individual style for over eight years now. During that time, the 23-year-old has proved herself to be somewhat of a style chameleon, and according to Roach, she's up for anything.

"When it comes to fashion, theres nothing that Zendaya wont try," Roach told People in a Friday, Sept. 6 interview. "After working with her for eight years, she keeps it new and fresh and exciting every single time."

He added, "It's what feels right or what feels best at that moment," which can help her try out "new designers or items she hasnt worn before."

On Friday, the actress let New York Fashion Week be her runway for trying out a new look while attending the Harpers Bazaar Icons party that evening. Zendaya opted to pair a printed gray Berluti suit and tie with a smoky eye and natural waves for a mix of feminine and masculine elements. The result? It's safe to say she's definitely got the boss babe thing down.

If the suit looks pretty familiar, that's because you might have seen it before when Michael B. Jordan rocked the same look during the Vanity Fair Oscars party just months earlier in February.

Celebrities are constantly wearing the same outfits, and Roach decided to poke fun at the twinning looks by posting them side by side on social media.

In an Instagram post shared on Saturday, Sept. 7, he wrote, "Who you got Z or B???? wearing @berluti."

Public figures and fans alike had fun getting in on the comments and sharing their opinions. Most agreed that Zendaya had slayed the look, and even the Creed actor admitted defeat after he saw how she'd rocked the suit.

In a comment captured by @CommentsByCelebs, he wrote, "@Zendaya hands down no contest" along with a smiley face emoji.

It's safe to say that fans are feeling this look, but Roach says that Zendaya isn't afraid to take a fashion risk and would probably still love it even if we didn't.

"Everything that she walks out of the house she loves, so no matter what the critics say, she loves it," Roach told People. "And thats the most important thing, and that all comes from confidence."

New York Fashion Week is far from over, so I'd keep an eye out for many more head-turning looks from the star in the coming days.

The Kardashians Tease Kylie Jenner For Being A Billionaire, But Kylie Doesn’t Mind

It's no secret that Kylie Jenner is a total boss. The young billionaire is a social media guru, the successful founder of Kylie Cosmetics, and more recently, Kylie Skin. to update fans on what has been going on in the young mogul's life, Jenner is set to appear on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Monday, Sept. 9. According to a sneak peek of the interview, the Kardashians tease Kylie Jenner for being a billionaire. But as always, Jenner isn't fazed one bit she calls it a case of sisterly love.

Television host Ellen DeGeneres released a brief teaser of her interview with Kylie on her Twitter account. The season premiere episode, which airs on Sept. 9, features Kylie Jenner and Kris Jenner as guests. Poking fun at Jenner's billionaire status, Degeneres asks, "Do [your sisters] call you Kylie Billionaire Jenner?" The comedian host continued, "They have all been working for years, and suddenly, you come along, and you're the youngest, and you're a billionaire... Do they give you a hard time?" Kylie is totally chill about it and explains, "It's only when... we're in a group chat talking about where we should go on a trip and everyone's like 'Kylie? Are you gonna pay for it?'" She shares that she doesn't mind they're all just teasing and it's sisterly love.

Degeneres continued on to ask if the Kardashians actually expect the youngest sister to pay for all their stuff. It's Kris' turn to show off her comedic chops, responding: "No, they don't really. Just my stuff." It's a hilarious moment that highlights the closeness and lightheartedness of the family.

Jenner definitely has a lot to be proud of ever since she made headlines as the youngest self-made billionaire ever. Her fortune can be attributed to Kylie Cosmetics, which was started in 2015 and originally sold only online and at pop-up shops. The company grew quickly but truly struck gold when they signed an exclusive distribution deal with Ulta. The beauty retailer rolled out Kylie Cosmetic's $29 lip kits into Ulta's 1,000-plus stores and fans were just as delighted to purchase a lip kit as they were to spot Jenner making promotional appearances at Ulta stores. With the expansion as well as other financial assets, Jenner launched herself into an estimated fortune of $1 billion. "I didn't expect anything. I did not foresee the future," Jenner told Forbes. "But [the recognition] feels really good. That's a nice pat on the back."

So what's next for the young mogul? Jenner's foray into skincare, Kylie Skin, will be coming to Ulta in the fall. Kylie Skin was launched in May with products that customers can use for every step of their skin care routine. The fact that the skincare line sold out less than 24 hours upon launching is a testament to how wildly popular Jenner's products are.

It looks like even though she's already a billionaire, Jenner has her eyes set on expanding her empire even further. With loyal fans and a family supporting Jenner in achieving her dreams, the sky's the limit.

Sarah Paulson’s Comments On Her Possible ‘AHS: 1984’ Cameo Will Get Fans Pumped

When American Horror Story returns in September for its ninth season, a few familiar faces won't be returning. While Evan Peters, Billy Eichner, and Sarah Paulson announced earlier this year that they wouldn't be a part of the upcoming installment, there's still a chance that the Ocean's 8 actress could be making an appearance after all. Fans, get ready to get pumped, because Sarah Paulsons comments on her possible AHS: 1984 cameo hint that we could be seeing the actress in a minor role when Season 9 premieres on Sept. 18.

You might remember that back on July 8, Variety first reported that Paulson "will not appear in a significant role" in the upcoming season of AHS: 1984 alongside fellow cast members Gus Kenworthy, Billie Lourd, and Emma Roberts, seeming to confirm that we won't be seeing the beloved AHS veteran when the show returns to FX in just a few weeks. However, on Saturday, Sept. 7, Paulson appeared to hint that there's a chance that she'll be making an appearance of sorts while walking the red carpet of the Abominable premiere at the Toronto Film Festival on Saturday, Sept. 8.

When asked about the upcoming season, Paulson played coy, teasing "I may pop up," while talking to ET.

Considering that Paulson has been a mainstay in all of the earlier seasons and appeared in all of them (even though she was in just three episodes in Season 1), she called her lack of involvement in Season 9 "bittersweet."

"It's a little bittersweet because I have a lot of friends who are still on the show," she told the publication. "So I'm getting updates about how it's all going and what they're doing, and I'm like, 'Wait, what? You worked until two? Oh, I remember working until two on that show.' And then I'm also very glad that I can wake up at a decent hour because I'm not cross-eyed from having worked insane nights."

Paulson, who's been busy promoting Abominable, says she still expects to have a serious case of FOMO when she tunes in for the season, though.

"But, it'll be hard. I'll be watching and cheering everybody on. I'm really excited for this season. I think it's a really cool idea for the show this year," Paulson added.

She concluded with yet another tease at a possible cameo. "And you never know, I may pop up. You never know. No promises though."

The actress played coy with details about what AHS diehards can expect from the newest installment, which has been shrouded in mystery. While a few teaser trailers have been released, all that's really known is that AHS: 1984 will draw inspiration from 1980s horror movies, per Entertainment Weekly, specifically a "classic summer camp horror trope." Cody Fern, Lourd, Roberts, Leslie Grossman, and John Carroll Lynch will all be returning, along with a slew of new characters.

"Anytime that you can be a part of something responsible for, or attempting to, or encouraging people to be empowered and lifted up, is only a good thing," Paulson told ET. "So I feel very happy and very fortunate to be a part of it."

There's no telling whether Paulson plans to take a more active role in Season 10 of the series, which is expected to air in 2020, but I'd keep an eye out for any potential cameos when AHS: 1984 comes to FX on Sept. 18.

The 5 Best Shampoos & Conditioners For Oily Hair

$

Almost everything in life has its pros and cons, including hair types. If you have finer hair, chances are, you can pretty much just wash your hair and be out the door with minimal styling, which is always a plus. But on the downside, you also probably find yourself washing your hair daily to avoid the greasy roots that can seem to show up almost instantly. While there are a number of factors that can help decrease the grease, starting in the shower with the best shampoos and conditioners for oily hair is key.

Washing your hair every single day may seem like the easiest solution to getting rid of oily roots, but it can also make things worse. You can help train your hair to look less greasy over time by washing it less often. Start by trying to cut back on shampooing to every other day, and as your hair adjusts over the course of a few months, you can stretch it even further to every two or three days. And while you wait for oil production to balance out, you can hide the grease with dry shampoo (try using it right after your hair has dried to absorb oil as soon as it appears) or get creative with some of these updo how-tos.

To help manage your oily hair, you'll also want to make sure that when you do wash, you aren't relying on products that are too harsh, such as an aggressive clarifying shampoo. Even oily hair needs in-shower products that contain moisturizing ingredients to prevent stripping your scalp of its natural oils (and thus causing it to produce more oil to compensate). But products that are intensely nourishing or intended to add shine can often be too heavy for oily hair types. Instead, look for a shampoo and conditioner that combines moisturizing ingredients, like glycerin and jojoba oil, with ingredients that combat grease like tea tree oil.

There are other ways to help make your hair less greasy, too. One of the most important things you can do is pay attention to your in-shower routine. Using conditioner all over your head can cause greasiness, so consider only applying it from the mid-lengths to the ends of your hair. Also, after you've shampooed and conditioned your hair, rinse it thoroughly; any leftover product will cause your hair to look greasy as soon as it's dry.

To help balance out the grease, here are five of the best shampoos and conditioners for oily hair.

,

1. The Best Shampoo For Oily Hair, According To Amazon Reviewers

Maple Holistics Degrease Moisture Control Shampoo
Amazon

For a shampoo that was created specifically for oily hair types and comes with rave reviews, turn to the Maple Holistics Degrease Moisture Control Shampoo. This sulfate-free shampoo contains a blend of nourishing and balancing botanical oils, which may sound counterintuitive, but hear me out. Ingredients like jojoba oil and peach kernel oil help keep your scalp happy by providing essential moisture; then, there are the grease-busting oils rosemary, basil, and lemon which help remove follicle-clogging dirt, oil, and dandruff, leaving your hair clean and your scalp soothed.

The shampoo also comes highly recommended by Amazon users, with more than 3,000 five-star reviews. "I've tried several oily scalp shampoos and conditioners, and I have to say - THIS IS IT. I have the unfortunate combination of having an oily scalp and dry hair (from coloring and styling), and am fortunate to have found Maple Holistics. I can now go a few days without washing my hair as opposed to having to wash it every day."

Another fan calls it "the best shampoo for ridiculously oily hair," noting: "It is the first shampoo that makes my hair feel completely clean."

2. The Best Natural Shampoo & Conditioner For Oily Hair

Desert Essence Lemon Tea Tree Shampoo & Conditioner
Amazon

Finding natural hair-care products can get complicated. Not only are the ingredient lists confusing to decipher, but many natural options fall flat when it comes to performance. While there's no true way to define "natural" when it comes to beauty products, Desert Essence's Lemon Tea Tree Shampoo & Conditioner is a pretty solid choice with its formula that's free of parabens, sulfates, silicones, and artificial fragrances and colors. Even better, it was specifically formulated with oily hair types in mind. Australian tea tree oil and lemon peel extract are the star ingredients that wash away excess oil and product buildup without stripping hair. The shampoo also contains organic maca root extract, which strengthens and protects hair, while the conditioner includes hydrators like jojoba seed oil, shea butter, and vitamin B5.

One reviewer raves, "Obsessed with this product and feel I have FINALLY found 'the one.' This product is the ONLY thing that controls my oily hair! I can go days without washing no problem, whereas before I was forced to wash my thick hair every day. The lemon also brings out my natural highlights. I love it." Another fan says, "Best shampoo yet for oily hair. Almost too good! I use about twice a week and it keeps it under control."

3. The Best Shampoo For Oily Hair & A Flaky Scalp

SebaMed Scalp Balancing Shampoo
Amazon

While many of the ingredients found in the shampoos on this list can help with an irritated scalp, SebaMed Scalp Balancing Shampoo makes that its main mission. If you're experiencing dandruff along with oily hair, you're probably itching your scalp to deal with the discomfort which only makes greasy roots worse because you constantly have your fingers in your hair. This SebaMed formula works to target excess oil and flaky skin buildup by supporting the scalp's natural barrier function, and it also fights off bacteria. Its soothing abilities help treat inflammation and itching, while customers with seborrheic dermatitis and eczema swear by it.

"I've tried many an anti-dandruff shampoo- ones with tar, all the brands you can find in CVS, and didn't see any results. This brand is the only one that has given me long-lasting results," one reviewer says, while another notes that their "scalp is significantly less oily."

4. The Best Nourishing Conditioner For Oily Hair

OGX Hydrating + Tea Tree Mint Conditioner
Amazon

If you have oily roots and dry ends, you need something to keep both sides happy. This OGX Tea Tree Mint Conditioner combines nourishing ingredients, like glycerin and milk proteins, with tea tree oil to moisturize and smooth hair without weighing it down. The formula has an invigorating minty scent, and it also helps fight frizz and detangle knots without exacerbating greasiness.

"The tea tree and mint formula of this conditioner is really great (along with the matching shampoo) for oily itchy scalps," says one fan, while another raves, "My new favorite! I have a dry scalp and oily, fine, curly hair. My hair comes out clean and soft without the oily buildup that I run into with so many other brands."

5. The Best Balancing Conditioner For Oily Hair

CHI Tea Tree Oil Conditioner
Amazon

Conditioners tend to be a one trick pony, in that they only moisturize hair. That's where CHI's Tea Tree Oil Conditioner breaks the mold with its multitasking formula that moisturizes, strengthens, and de-greases. Ingredients like hydrolyzed silk and olive fruit oil help to maintain your hair's moisture levels while also strengthening the hair. Then, the formula uses tea tree oil and peppermint oil to refresh your scalp and balance out oil production.

One reviewer says, "I love this conditioner. My hair feels so clean after using it. It's not heavy like most conditioners and has a delightful clean scent." Another user echoes the sentiment, noting, "It gives my hair the right amount of moisture without weighing it down."

The 5 Best Matte Sunscreens

$
0
0

Everyone knows the importance of wearing sunscreen on a daily basis but on the downside, most of your standard sunscreen formulas tend to grease up your face. If you have oily skin, are prone to breakouts, or simply hate the feel of a slick, shiny face, you're going to want to pick up one of the best matte sunscreens from the list ahead.

If your skin is relatively unfussy and you simply prefer a non-shiny finish, just about any sunscreen that says it's mattifying will do. But if your primary reason for seeking out a matte sunscreen is to keep oily skin under control or to prevent breakouts, you'll need to be more particular with your SPF choice. A formula that notes it's non-comedogenic is a good place to start which means it won't clog your pores but you'll also want something that's oil-free and oxybenzone-free (oxybenzone is a commonly used UV-protecting ingredient that can cause breakouts and irritation). This list of ingredients to avoid is also helpful if you have sensitive skin in addition to being oily.

Whether you plan on sitting out at the beach or you're looking for a day-to-day formula for all-year wear, these are the best mattifying sunscreens to keep your face (and body!) protected.

,

1. The Overall Best Matte Sunscreen For Your Face

Obagi Sun Shield Broad Spectrum SPF 50
Amazon

For a sunscreen that targets every major complaint, Obagi Sun Shield Broad Spectrum SPF 50 can turn even the biggest SPF critic into a believer. In terms of protection, Obagi's mineral and chemical formula was given the Skin Cancer Foundation's Seal of Recommendation for its full-coverage UVB-absorbing and UVA-blocking abilities. The formula is fragrance-free and lightweight, and even more noteworthy, it rubs into skin without leaving a chalky, white film behind. Then, there's its matte finish, which eliminates any greasy look (and feeling) on the face without being totally drying, thanks to hydrating and skin-smoothing ingredients, like glycerin and dimethicone, in the formula.

2. Best Affordable Matte Sunscreen For Your Face

La Roche-Posay Anthelios Clear Skin Sunscreen SPF 60
Amazon

If you're using sunscreen on your face everyday like you should be, finding an option that's affordable is just as important as finding a formula you actually like. La Roche-Posay has become a drugstore staple because of their ever-growing sunscreen selection that lets you tailor your sun protection to your skin's specific preferences and needs. Their fan-favorite Anthelios Clear Skin Sunscreen SPF 60 is a matte option that's also great for acne-prone skin. The chemical filter sunscreen provides broad spectrum coverage from UVA and UVB rays in a formula that's water-resistant for up to 80 minutes. Not only does it have a dry finish, but the sunscreen actually helps reduce excess oil using ingredients like perlite and silica. The formula is also oil-free, non-comedogenic, and oxybenzone-free, which is ideal for acne-prone skin types. And, despite the chemical filters, La Roche-Posay notes that this sunscreen is fragrance-free, paraben-free, and allergy-tested for those with more sensitive skin, too.

3. Best Matte Mineral Sunscreen & Moisturizer In One

Coola Mineral Face Matte Moisturizer SPF 30

If you're as diligent about your morning face moisturizer as you are about your SPF, consider opting for a two-in-one product like the Coola Mineral Face Matte Moisturizer SPF 30. It uses mineral filters, zinc oxide and titanium dioxide, for sun protection, which are gentler on skin (and coral reef-friendly) than most chemical filters, but it also contains other skin benefits. Even with its matte finish, Coola's moisturizing formula combines hydrating, smoothing, and antioxidant-rich ingredients (like shea butter, dimethicone, and rosehip oil) to keep skin soft and primed for makeup. The matte sunscreen comes in a refreshing cucumber scent, or an unscented option that's lightly tinted. No matter which you prefer, you'll get a vegan formula that offers broad spectrum 30 protection and is water-resistant for up to 40 minutes.

4. Best Matte Sunscreen & Moisturizer For Oily Skin

For oily and acne-prone skin, you'll need a mattifying moisturizer that was made with your skin type in mind. The Image Prevention+ Daily Matte Moisturizer SPF 32+ is completely oil-free, you don't have to worry about it causing breakouts. The brand's sunscreen was physician-formulated, using a combination of mineral and chemical filters to provide broad spectrum 32 protection. In addition to giving your skin a matte finish, Image's formula uses micro-sponge technology to help absorb surface oils to keep skin shine-free all day long. The brand also developed a DNA protection complex, blending ingredients like plankton extract and apple stem cells to moisturize and plump up skin without making it feel greasy.

5. Best Matte Sunscreen For Your Body

Banana Boat Dry Balance Sunscreen SPF 50+

While a matte SPF for your face is an essential, if you're dedicated to a matte finish for your body, too, try this Banana Boat Dry Balance Sunscreen SPF 50+. The spray bottle makes it more convenient to apply without getting your hands slathered in sunscreen, and the lightweight formula dries quickly, leaving skin completely matte and grease-free. The broad spectrum SPF 50 protection is even water-resistant, so you can swim or endure sweat-inducing high temperatures for up to 80 minutes before you need to reapply.

Netflix's 'The Two Popes' Trailer Shows 2 Pontiffs Are Better Than 1

The Catholic Church has weathered many crises in the two millennia and counting of its existence. But even an institution that has seen mankind go from the Roman empire to the 21st century can suddenly find itself facing a completely new situation. That happened in 2013, when the current Pope, Benedict XVI, decided to retire rather than die in office. The result was that the Church, for the first time, had two living Popes when Francis was elected. Now, Netflix's The Two Popes trailer promises a film that will explore how this unprecedented era came about.

It perhaps was merely a matter of time before something like this happened. Not because of modern life and retirement becoming the norm in society, but a product of modern medicine. People live far longer than was once considered possible. (Queen Elizabeth II is a perfect example. Most assumed Charles would ascend before the end of the 20th century, and here it is nearly 2020 with no sign of her reign ending anytime soon.)

In a different century, Benedict, who was born in 1927, might not have made it to 2013. But as human lifespans continue to extend, it's perhaps not surprising that the 21st century would see the first Pope who voluntarily stepped down.

Even so, such a dramatic change in how the Church operates is ripe for drama. The Two Popes trailer promises it in spades.

Netflix on YouTube

It helps that Benedict and Francis are about as diametrically opposite in their views on Christianity as one could get. Benedict is a conservative, who for many years wrote papers defending traditional Catholic doctrine and values. As Pope, he did not reverse the modernizations of the 1960s known as "Vatican II," but he did push back against some of them, including promoting the use of Latin. Benedict pushed against any secularization of the Church's ethics. He was also big on the pomp and circumstance of the Catholic Church to help preserve the hierarchy, including reviving traditional papal garments.

Francis, on the other hand, was known for years as a far more liberal practitioner. He believes deeply in the Church's commitment to the poor and downtrodden. He's also a promoter of making Catholicism more accessible, not less. Under his guidance, the Church has presented a more open and welcoming face to the public (including a Twitter account!), and been working on interfaith outreach.

That these are the two popes that live during the same era is a remarkable story, both in the history-making aspect and in the dramatic one. With highly decorated actors in both roles, Anthony Hopkins as Benedict and Jonathan Pryce as Francis, this looks to be a remarkable film.

The Two Popes had its first screening at the Toronto International Film Festival, clearly marking it as one to watch for the awards season chase. It will land in theaters on a limited release schedule on Nov. 27, 2019, where it will run for just under a month. The film will premiere on Netflix just in time for the holidays, on Dec. 20, 2019.

Let's be honest: There's some pretty spectacular food in NYC, and there are always new places popping up. This is both a blessing and a curse when you have to figure out where to host your birthday plans. But as someone who has celebrated many birthdays in NYC, it's safe to say I've found a few favorite places of my own. From a cute dessert spot with rainbow cakes, to breakfast at Tiffany's, to even a casual burger joint, here are nine fun restaurants in NYC for your birthday that are definitely worth adding to your bucket list.

A beautiful part about celebrating another lap around the sun in one of the greatest cities in the world is that there are always options for you. You can eat dessert first then go to dinner, you can skip dinner altogether and just have cocktails and dessert, and you can also dig your hands into a giant bag of boiled seafood. Whatever your preferences may be and whatever you're in the mood for on your special day, you'll definitely be able to find it in The Big Apple.

If you're celebrating a birthday soon or you just like planning your birthday festivities well in advance check out these fun spots to celebrate your big day.

,

1. While We Were Young

If you're looking for a super chic spot to enjoy a birthday dinner or brunch, While We Were Young is totally worth a visit. The cocktails are Instagrammable on their own, so you and your crew can enjoy a round of drinks before your dinner. Plus, the floor-to-ceiling windows at the front of the restaurant offer tons of natural lighting so all of your posts on the 'Gram will look fabulous.

2. The Blue Box Cafe

Your birthday is the perfect chance to treat yourself to luxurious experiences, and it really doesn't get any better than Tiffany's Blue Box Cafe. You can literally have breakfast at Tiffany's at their flagship store (or lunch, or afternoon tea). Enjoy towering stacks of pastries, giant waffles, and all of the Tiffany blue decor your heart could ever desire.

3. Katz's Delicatessen

Katz's Delicatessen is a New York City landmark, so if you've never been, your birthday is definitely a great excuse to go. Their pastrami, corned beef, and other classics have been called "legendary" by more than a few of my foodie friends. All New Yorkers should 100% visit this iconic place, regardless of whether or not it's your birthday though that's a great reason to go.

4. Flour Shop

What's a birthday without cake? At this point, Flour Shop has become synonymous with "rainbow dessert" everything from the rainbows on the walls, to the giant rainbow gummy bears, to the rainbow sprinkles that come pouring out when you cut into their iconic explosion cakes. Head here after your celebratory dinner, or before, because it's your birthday and you can do whatever you want.

5. The Boil

As someone who has waited in line for an hour to eat my birthday dinner at The Boil, I am a million percent convinced the food is worth the wait and the hype. Get ready to get your hands dirty as you snack on a giant bag of cajun style boiled seafood. It's truly as delicious as it sounds.

6. Freeman's

The food think new American with a rustic feel and cozy ambiance of Freemans is reason enough to visit, but if you have a few friends coming and you want to get awesome group birthday pics, Freemans Alley is the coolest spot to snap them. The alley is decorated with graffiti that has been layered upon over time, so you get the beauty and edginess of NYC street art, plus some yummy bites, all in one trip.

7. UES

If you're up for a nightcap and some dessert after your birthday dinner, head to UES. In my personal opinion, it's one of NYC's best-kept secrets. The front of the shop is a regular ice cream store, but if you go inside and ask to go to "storage," you'll be led into a cool speakeasy-themed bar. The cocktail menu is quite extravagant the drink I had there was lit on fire! Just make sure you abide by their dress code when you go to visit.

8. Basil NYC

Basil NY (which is located in Brooklyn) is the Kosher Italian restaurant you never knew you needed in your life. From their giant pizzas to incredible basil parmesan fries, and of course, their extensive wine list, you won't be disappointed with any of the choices you make at Basil.

9. Shake Shack

OK, New Yorkers. Don't come at me and hear me out for a sec. Whenever you've craved just a really great burger after celebrating on your birthday, what place has been there for you? I'll bet you that it's Shake Shack. From their ShackSauce to their frozen custard, there are so many birthday-worthy add-ons to your burger that will make your Shake Shack celebratory meal so memorable.

Jed Wyatt’s Quotes About Tyler Cameron, Gigi Hadid, & Hannah Brown Might Surprise You

As dramatic as Season 15 of The Bachelorette was, the real drama happened after the cameras stopped rolling. After Hannah Brown ended her engagement to Jed Wyatt because he had a girlfriend back home while the show was filming, Hannah asked out her runner-up, Tyler Cameron. All seemed promising, until Tyler started dating Gigi Hadid, leaving Hannah in a bit of a lurch. The drama has been hard to keep up with, but Jed recently spoke up about everything that went down. TBH, Jed Wyatts quotes about Tyler Cameron, Gigi Hadid, & Hannah Brown might surprise you.

Jed's interview with People at the iHeartRadios Miller Lite SoCal Country event on Saturday, Sept. 7 is pretty telling. When asked about his thoughts regarding the whole Hannah-Tyler-Gigi love triangle, Jed simply responded, "I had heard about it. Ultimately I want everyone to be happy, whatever that means. I will continue to support [them] though I havent paid too much attention to it. If everyones happy, then thats whats good."

Jed's comments feel like solid support after all the negativity that went down, so it's nice to see all he really wants is for everyone to be happy. He's remained pretty silent following his breakup with Hannah on national television. Of course, fans weren't too happy with his behavior on and off the show, but Jed didn't try too hard to defend himself. Honestly, that would be pretty hard to do when your ex-girlfriend who you were still with when you went on The Bachelorette has all the receipts!

Just like Chris Harrison promised, Hannah's season The Bachelorette was one of the most dramatic seasons ever. There were fights, there were tears when fan favorites got sent home (looking at you, Mike Johnson!), plenty of men were accused of not being there for the right reasons. Jed's ex Haley Stevens' interview with People (you know, the one where she came forward about still being in a relationship with Jed when he went on the show only to be essentially ghosted by him after filming) was the icing on the cake of an already super-intense season.

Ever since the "After The Final Rose" special, Jed has laid low for the most part, and doesn't seem all that bothered by the news cycle. However, as chill as he is now, when Hannah first asked out Tyler, he opened up about how he could tell there was a spark between them. I couldnt really put a finger on it when I was there that day," he told Good Morning America host Michael Strahan, about filming "ATFR." "I know there was a lot of nerves and a lot of tension, but you know, her happiness is my best interest. I want her to be happy, and Tylers one of my friends, hes a great guy, and, you know, if thats what its supposed to be, then I support that."

Now, as Tyler and Hadid continue to get more and more serious by the day (they were photographed at Hadid's grandmother's funeral in the Netherlands!), it seems as though Hannah/Tyler shippers might have to let that dream go. Here's hoping everyone gets their happily ever after.

29 Brilliant Responses For When Someone Asks You Why You're Still Single

As we single ladies head into any social gathering, we know someone will inevitably ask that dreaded question, one most despised by all singletons:

Why are you still single?

While it's amazing people still think it's appropriate to even ask this question, there nonetheless will likely always be that one distant relative, coworker, friend, or acquaintance from high school who comes up to you at the holiday party and utters these cringeworthy words. They may follow it up with, Because you're just so great. That doesn't make the situation any less awkward or annoying, and you may find yourself thinking up brilliant responses for when someone asks why youre still single. Thats where I come in to help.

Whether youre single or youre in a relationship, both statuses have their perks and you can live your best life. When youre single, you're free to book spontaneous trips with friends, dedicate your free time completely to your passions and your career, and take a dip in the dating pool (if thats even what you want at this point in your life).

So the next time someone asks you why youre still single, feel free to use any one of the following expert-approved responses:

1. I'm focusing on my career.

In an exclusive interview with Elite Daily, marriage and family therapist Nicole Richardson says she encourages people to talk about the things in their lives that they are excited about. If thats your career, then kudos to you. And if the time comes when you do meet someone special, [You] will choose partnership when [you] find someone who values [you] and is willing to put in the same amount of work [you] are.

2. I'm just not settling.

This is a solid response because youre explaining your needs and expectations from a future partner. For example, Richardson suggests saying something along the lines of, I'm just not into settling. The person I'm looking forward [to meeting] is working on having the kind of life they are just as excited about as I am about mine.

Richardson tells Elite Daily if your goal is to find someone who brings more happiness and positive vibes into your world, its tough work. It calls for you to be more selective and not settle for anything less, but the result can be well worth it.

3. Weddings are expensive, and I have expensive taste in vacations, clothes, and footwear.

You're footing your own bankroll, duh. Weddings can be expensive AF and who can blame you youre simply just not ready to dish out all of that cash quite yet.

4. Yeah, it's terrible dating any person I want.

(Thanks for asking.) If you feel like its an appropriate time to throw a little bit of shade, this response is sassy and sarcastic. Mic drop.

5. I don't need a partner to prove that Im worth something.

You're killing it in every aspect of your life. Why would you need a partner to show that? Richardson tells Elite Daily, I love this [response] and I hope that anyone who says it means it. Truly believing in your own value sets you up for a much healthier relationship. When you rely on your romantic relationship for your self-esteem, it drains it and sets it on a really unhealthy path.

6. Why don't we talk about my job promotion instead?

Why is it that without a partner, nothing else seems to matter? Your single status shouldnt take away from all of the other amazing things that are going on in your life. The truth is, there are often people in our lives that don't understand us and the life we are building, says Richardson. Especially if it is a family member, it can feel as though you can't simply cut them out. When this happens, it's important to take a deep breath and tell them about all the positive things you have made happen and that you're proud of.

7. I'd rather have a significant income than a significant other.

You can take care of your #girlboss self, thank you very much. A significant income? Yes, please.

8. I'm fabulous, and I haven't found anyone equally as fabulous, that's why.

You're really just telling it like it is. Again, youre not in a rush to be in a relationship and life is far too short to settle for anything youre not completely happy with.

9. I'm in a passionate love affair with myself.

It's a party of one, and that's the only party you're after. Thomas Edwards, Jr., Transformational Coach at thomasedwardsjr.com, tells Elite Daily he especially likes responses that focus on self-love. If youre being real and choosing not commit to anyone but yourself, thats great, he says.

10. As Cher Horowitz says, You see how picky I am about my shoes, and they only go on my feet.

You can always count on Cher Horowitz from Clueless to tell it like it is. You might be picky because you dont want to be in a relationship simply for the sake of being in a relationship. Its like finding the right pair of shoes; it may require a lot of searching, but once you do find them, you know it was all worth it.

11. I'm not single. I'm married to food.

No shame here. The hilariously witty "throw away the conversation" answers as Edwards refers to them as can go a long way. "The question [someone asks about why youre still single] is so ridiculous, an even more ridiculous answer is needed sometimes," he says."

12. I don't know. Why are you still married?

If they want to ask the hard questions, you go ahead and ask them right back.

13. My dad didn't have enough sheep and wheat for my dowry.

No man shall ever marry ye! This response may even get a laugh out of the person who asks you why youre single.

14. So far, every person I've met has been unimpressive.

This response is best delivered completely deadpan. If theyre not impressing you, why waste your time? You could be cuddling with your pup for a movie night instead.

15. Well, it's likely because I haven't found the right person yet.

For this particular response, Richardson says it can come across as a bit defensive. Its all about presentation, and Richardson stresses to never settle. Life is too short and the people we surround ourselves with are really important to our quality of life. Staying selective and not settling should be a source of pride not shame.

16. When Im ready to be in a relationship, I have no doubt I will find my person when Im meant to.

This response suggested by Edwards is straight and to the point. The main idea is to center your answer around why your life is great right now just the way it is and to not let anyone elses pressure be your own, he says.

17. I still haven't met a person who is as good as prime rib tastes.

And prime rib is expensive, too.

18. Single is the new black.

I mean, you're just being trendy.

19. Prince William is already taken.

This response has worked since you were in high school. Its tried and true.

20. I can't commit to a dinner reservation, let alone another human being.

It's all about priorities. Obviously.

21. Im enjoying this time in my life when I get to focus on myself and becoming whole as a person.

This is another awesome response suggested by Edwards. Its all about self-love, people. Loving yourself before you welcome someone else into your world is key.

22. My arranged marriage is just around the corner.

Again, a deadpan delivery here will go far.

23. I'm very busy focusing on myself and do not have a single minute to devote to someone else.

This one is straightforward and to the point. Being in a relationship might not even be on your radar right now, and thats perfectly OK.

24. Why settle for one partner when I can date?

At this point in your life, you may be swimming in the dating pool and having a great time doing it. Youre learning whats really important to you, your likes, and your dislikes when it comes to a future partner.

25. My shows are far more interesting than any date I've been on.

(I mean, have you seen Andrew DeLuca?) Dating can be a struggle, and youll likely deal with a lot of frogs before you find the one youre meant to be with. But, hey, at least Netflix and HBO are always loyal companions.

26. Honestly, being single is really fun.

Richardson says if youre perfectly content with this single stage in your life, embrace it to the fullest. No one can make you happy but you. It is wonderful to be bold enough to create the life you want, not everyone is brave enough to do that, she tells Elite Daily.

27. I'm more into the title of CEO than partner.

BURN. This is another career-focused response that deserves a mic drop. Youre focusing on reaching your goals, and thats entirely your choice. Edwards does make it a point to say, though, I have had plenty of clients who came to me saying they focused on their career and as a result, are having a hard time getting into a relationship. You dont have to sacrifice one for the other. It is possible to have everything you want in your life without waiting for one domino to fall.

28. I'm dating myself why would I need a partner?

You are the best dinner date and Netflix and shopping companion, after all.

29. I'm pretty certain I'm The One. So, there's that.

Now this response deserves a mic drop.

You dont really owe anyone an explanation about your relationship status. But if you feel like using a clever rebuttal the next time someone makes an encounter awkward by asking you why you're single because youre just so great, refer to this list.

Lifetime's 'The College Admissions Scandal' Movie Trailer Is SO Suspenseful

It's back-to-school season, and anyone preparing for their SATs this year hopefully won't re-live what the previous test-taking season brought. Less than a year since the reveal of a college admissions scheme allegedly involving Lori Loughlin and Felicity Huffman, students and teachers alike can't stop talking about this snafu. Seemingly based on these real-life events, Lifetime's The College Admissions Scandal movie trailer captures all of the suspense of those dramatic headlines.

In March 2019, authorities charged 50 people for allegedly paying millions of dollars in bribes to secure their children's placement at prestigious colleges. Dubbed "Operation Varsity Blues," the investigation alleged that consultant William Singer had been part of an intricate scheme of bribing exam proctors, creating false background stories, and changing test scores in order to strengthen students' college applications. In March 2019, Singer pleaded guilty to racketeering conspiracy, money laundering conspiracy, conspiracy to defraud the United States, and obstruction of justice. Singer was later released on a $500,000 bond.

Included among the accused parents were Desperate Housewives star Felicity Huffman and Full House's Lori Loughlin. As of September 2019, prosecutors have called for Huffman to spend a month in jail after she pleaded guilty to committing mail fraud and honest services fraud in her attempts to help her daughter get into college. Loughlin and husband Mossimo Giannulli last appeared in court on Aug. 27 after pleading not guilty to allegedly paying a total of $500,000 to earn their daughters spots at the University of Southern California.

The women's legal fates may still be unclear, but Lifetime is painting its own dramatic portrait in its interpretation of the scandal. Loosely based on these ongoing events, the network's The College Admissions Scandal introduces two wealthy mothers committed to getting their children into elite schools regardless of the consequences.

Lifetime on YouTube

In the trailer, Caroline (Penelope Ann Miller) worries about her struggling son, and takes a slightly naive approach to recruiting the movie's equivalent of Singer. "You do such great work for so many people," she tells him. "There must be something you can do."

Meanwhile, Bethany (Mia Kirshner) is a little more ruthless, saying to her daughter, "You studied Darwin last year, didn't you? ... Some species survive and some don't."

Footage shows Bethany supervising a photo shoot fabricating her daughter's involvement in sports, while Caroline's son unknowingly hands in his SAT test to a monitor who begins fixing his answers. Both situations seem to reflect what allegedly happened in real life, as Loughlin's daughters were reportedly admitted into USC as crew team recruits despite them apparently never participating, while Huffman confessed to paying at least $15,000 for a proctor to change her daughter's SAT answers.

Trouble comes in The College Admissions Scandal when the FBI catches onto the mothers' actions. This discovery ignites tension between Caroline and her husband and makes Bethany's daughter fear she'll be arrested too. The trailer also hints at the pressure building upon the mothers as their misdoings are further uncovered. The clips don't quite get to the legal procedures following the initial scandal, but given the focus on the real-life crime's aftermath, perhaps The College Admissions Scandal has bleak ends in store for Bethany and Caroline.

The College Admissions Scandal premieres at 8 p.m. ET on Saturday, Oct. 12, on Lifetime.

These Halloween 2019 Costume Trends Will Make You Want To Go All In With Your Look

With summer on its way out and big fall energy on its way in, it's officially time to start thinking about whom or what you want to dress up as come Oct. 31. Thankfully, this year has provided ample inspiration. Predictably, Halloween 2019 costume trends will be heavily dictated by the pop-culture phenomenons that have dominated our television and computer screens as of late. Seeing as this year's movie, series, and song releases have been exceptionally good, we're in store for an especially festive and fun All Hallow's Eve. Get ready to go big with your costume or just stay at home.

Admittedly, I haven't taken my Halloween costume seriously since I was maybe 15, when my best friend and I dressed up as Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum from Alice in Wonderland, propeller hats and all. Needless to say, I did not date in high school. Since then, it's been last-minute costume after last-minute costume, with hippie and nerd being my go-to picks. This year, that's going to change. From hit HBO series like Euphoria and Big Little Lies to gorgeous films like Rocketman and modern icons like the Fab Five of Queer Eye, there are just way too many sources of incredible costume inspiration to not get fully decked out. Below, 10 costumes that you're going to see everywhere this Halloween which one will you put your own spin on?

Scoops Ahoy Employee from Stranger Things

Robin and Steve's Scoops Ahoy uniforms were definitely a sartorial highlight of Stranger Things Season 3, and the good news is, they're incredibly easy to find online. Have a sailor's uniform from Halloweens past? Give it a few updates like an "AHOY" hat, and bam, you've got yourself the perfect outfit for this year. Channel Robin and Steve and enlist your BFF or partner to be your fellow scoop slinger.

Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello

Mendes and Cabello are definitely the it couple of 2019, and their performance of their duet "Seorita" at the VMAs proved it. Have your partner throw on a white tank top, suspenders, and Mendes-esque jewelry and find a dreamy white dress a la Cabello to wear yourself. You'll be the envy of every ghoul and ghost at the party.

Ashley O from Black Mirror

If looking at this photo of Miley Cyrus as Ashley O hasn't made "On a Roll" immediately start playing in your head, then you clearly haven't seen her Black Mirror episode enough. The fictional songstress would make for a super easy and fun costume, seeing as all you'd really need to buy to become her is a bobbed lilac wig. Are you full of ambition and verve to make this the best Halloween ever?

Everyone from Euphoria

There pretty much isn't a Euphoria character I wouldn't want to dress up as this year, thanks to the fact that every single one has a killer signature makeup look and style. From Rue and Jules to Kat and Maddy, the characters are all powerful and intriguing in their own ways. Why not get all of your BFFs together and bring Euphoria to life by each choosing to channel a different fictional friend?

Billy Ray Cyrus and Lil Nas X in "Old Town Road"

While I still don't understand why, it's undeniable that "Old Town Road" has been the single sonic banger of 2019. Not only is the song catchy, but it's also been a hugely influential part of the Western style craze that's swept pop culture as of late. Channel your Billy Ray or your Lil Nas X, grab a cowboy hat (matte black?) and a matching bedazzled Western shirt, and ride 'til you can't no more.

Elton John from Rocketman

Is there anyone more fun to dress up as than Elton John?! I think not. Thanks to the 2019 release of Rocketman, the English icon's life story is once again at the forefront of everyone's minds and so is his bold and bizarre sense of style. No matter which Elton you choose to channel, you're going to have a costume that will stand out in a crowd.

Derry Girls

If you know, you know. Derry Girls has got to be one of the most uniquely funny shows I've ever seen on Netflix and beyond, and it provides incredible inspiration for a friend group costume. All you'll need are some prep school uniforms and voila! Erin, Clare, Orla, and Michelle at your service.

Mary Louise from Big Little Lies

If you were hoping to be something scary for Halloween, you've just found your costume. Mary Louise gave me the absolute creeps on Season 2 of Big Little Lies, and I must say, she'd be beyond fun to dress up as. Any costume that lets me wear orthopedic shoes and a cardigan is one I definitely want to consider.

The Fab Five from Queer Eye

I don't think the Fab Five really need any introduction or explanation. Decide who among your friends is Tan, Antoni, Jonathan, Karamo, and Bobby, and get to picking out your lewks stat.

Sharon Tate

While Once Upon A Time In Hollywood is filled with characters who would make for excellent costume inspirations, there is no chicer person shown and portrayed in the movie than Sharon Tate. Played by Margot Robbie in the film, which also shows original clips of Tate herself, the actress was a veritable style icon in her own right before her tragic murder in 1969.

Camila Cabello's Quote About "Always" Loving Shawn Mendes Is Jaw-Droppingly Romantic

$
0
0

You know what they say: Just because you collaborate on a hit pop song with a mega hottie and then get super steamy with them in the corresponding music video does't mean you're actually dating just ask Ariana Grande and Mikey Foster. I reluctantly believed Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello when they insisted their relationship was purely platonic after dropping "I Know What You Did Last Summer" together in 2015. But now, following their "Seorita" collab, these two are changing their story. After years of denying any romance, Camila Cabello's quote about always loving Shawn Mendes has me feeling tentatively optimistic but also... a little confused.

At Elle's Women in Music event on Sept. 6, Cabello revealed to E! News that she has always had a soft spot for her fellow performer. "I love him with all my heart and always have," she said. "We've known each other for a really long time We've always been there for each other." Which I'm sure is totally true but was the affection she felt for Mendes before "Seorita" a brotherly love or a want-to-make-out-everywhere love? As much as I'd like to believe that these two have always been smitten, it's hard to say when they transitioned from friends to more-than-friends.

When asked about their relationship status by E! News just about four years ago, Cabello joked, "We actually hate each other in real life. We can't stand each other." Though the two often flirted on social media, they always denied the possibility of romance. During a November 2015 appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden, Mendes claimed, "Every time I try to make a move she just swears me off. Its never gonna happen." Cabello's response: "He friend-zones me! He calls me 'kid!' He has never tried to make a move." So when were they finally able to admit what everyone else knew all along?

Well, I guess they still have yet to admit their relationship is official. But what more evidence do we need? After that steamy video for "Seorita" premiered (and after Cabello's relationship with Matthew Hussey ended), the two have been spotted making out everywhere from a caf in San Francisco, to a restaurant in Tampa, to a beach in Miami. As Cabello revealed in her Elle Women in Music interview, she's in love for the first time, and she's not afraid to show it.

"Honestly, this past year and a half was the first time I really experienced falling in love with another person," she confessed, later adding, "Ive loved people from afar, but falling in love with someone and having feelings for someone but they dont know.... Its different." She didn't explicitly say that love was for Mendes, but did she really have to?

When pressed for details, Cabello told Elle that, for now, she's going to keep their love story private though she's not going to hold back when it comes to showing her love for Mendes. "People can say whatever they want to say," she said. "They can speculate, but at the same time, we are going to live our own lives, enjoy it, and fall for each other like nobody is watching. That is how I want to live." Please continue to fall, you two. I'll be here watching and loving every minute of it.

These 'IT Chapter Two' Easter Eggs Will Make You Do A Double-Take At Derry

There is much more to IT Chapter Two than meets the eye. The newly released horror sequel, which hit theaters on Sept. 6, picks up 27 years after the events of 2017's IT, and like that first movie, it is also filled with tons of subtle nods to Stephen King's work and '80s pop culture, among other things. Even if you are an IT super-fan, chances are you probably missed a bunch of these little, meta details that add another level of fun and cleverness to the movie. But don't worry, because you can check out the best IT Chapter Two easter eggs below.

IT Chapter Two is definitely pretty scary, but make sure not to cover your eyes or hide behind a blanket while watching, or you just might miss these tiny nuggets of throwback goodness. In fact, for those of you who do get spooked pretty easily, these easter eggs should actually help make watching the film a bit easier, since they provide some humor and levity during some of the really suspenseful moments. Whether you're watching the movie for the first time, or you're already gearing up for your umpteenth rewatch, these easter eggs are sure to make you smile through all the screaming.

Spoiler alert: Spoilers for IT Chapter Two are below.

1. Maturin The Turtle

Although the god-like, cosmic turtle Maturin plays a pretty notable part in Stephen King's original 1986 novel IT, the modern adaptations have chosen to gloss over the intergalactic aspects of the story. That is probably for the best, since going from Derry, Maine, to the cosmos can make things very confusing very fast in the movie world. But Maturin still get his due in some subtle shoutouts. The first movie includes a number of turtles, and IT Chapter Two prominently features a turtle in the classroom during Ben's flashback scene.

2. Stephen King

The most obvious reference in the whole movie is the sudden appearance of none other than Stephen King himself. The IT author shows up as the pawn shop owner who sells Bill his old bike back.

3. "I Didn't Like The Ending"

Stephen King got to add an extra layer of meta humor to his cameo by telling Bill he was not a fan of the ending to his novel. Bill's career as a horror author is clearly meant to mirror King's own, and the bit with characters critiquing Bill for the endings of his works is a play on the widespread criticism of King's own story endings.

4. Stan's Bird Puzzle

When fans first see the adult Stanley Uris, he is working on a puzzle full of pictures of birds. In the original novel and the subsequent '90s miniseries, Stan has a passion for birdwatching. That hobby never made it into these new adaptations, but the birds in the puzzle serve as a nod.

5. Another Ben

The most drastic change in the Losers Club in IT Chapter Two is Ben Hanscom, who is basically unrecognizable as a chiseled architect now that he's grown up. Jay Ryan plays the adult Ben and Jeremy Ray Taylor still appears as the young Ben in flashbacks, but there is actually yet another Ben hidden in the movie: In his introduction scene, Ben is holding a meeting for his architect firm, and one of the executives making a pitch is played by Brandon Crane, who played young Ben in the IT miniseries on ABC back in the '90s.

6. Meg Ryan's Influence

At the beginning of IT Chapter Two, the doomed character of Adrian taunts his soon-to-be attackers by saying their hair looks like Meg Ryan's wig. Later in the movie, Derry's seemingly abandoned movie theater features a torn poster for Ryan's 1998 movie You've Got Mail.

7. Gazebos

After the Ritual of Chd fails to capture IT, Pennywise taunts Mike by saying the ritual was just a "gazebo." The line is a callback to the first movie, in which Eddie mistakenly calls the fake pills his mother has been giving him gazebos instead of placebos.

8. Richie's Insult Of Choice

In the middle of the climactic battle, Bill Hader's character Richie offers a brief moment of humor when he calls IT a "sloppy b*itch" while hurling a rock at him. Judging from a 2016 interview on Conan, this line was taken from Hader's real life. In the interview, Hader revealed that "sloppy b*tch" is his go-to insult when he gets angry while playing video games.

9. Branson Buddinger

At the very end of the movie, Mike is finally ready to move on from Derry and his obsession with figuring out IT's relationship to the town. As he leaves his library home, viewers see he has been studying a historical text written by Branson Buddinger this whole time. This is a reference to Stephen King's novel, as Mike also uses a book written by local historian Branson Buddinger to learn more about Derry.

These easter eggs are honestly too good BRB, rewatching to see if there are any more hidden gems to look out for!

How Much Is YouTube Premium? Here's Everything You Need To Know

When YouTube launched in 2005, it was billed as a way to disrupt the movie and TV business. It was a place where filmmakers and would be TV creators could get their start by uploading their own works. But quickly, it became the fastest way for those who didn't have cable to watch programming. Since then, the service has undergone several changes, the latest being the subscription service, YouTube Premium, which arrived last year. So how much is YouTube Premium? It's currently $11.99, for those looking for an ad-free online video experience.

The arrival of streaming as a way to watch TV is usually dated back to 2013, and the premiere of House of Cards on Netflix. But YouTube was streaming TV for years before that, from pirate uploads of The Daily Show and The Colbert Report in 2006 to early YouTube pioneers The Gregory Brothers, whose "Autotune The News" was some of the site's most-watched content in 2010.

But since Netflix took streaming and made it a household word, YouTube has been experimenting with different ways to get in on the subscription game. First came MusicKey in November 2014, which was streaming YouTube music videos from participating labels ad-free. That was expanded and rebranded as YouTube Red a year later in October of 2015, as ad-free access to everything in YouTube's library.

But in 2018, YouTube updated the way it worked again. This time it split YouTube Red in two. YouTube Music would be for those who just wanted music, while YouTube Premium would have access to YouTube Originals content, and perhaps most importantly, offline access to watch programming without being connected to the internet.

TeamYouTube [Help] on YouTube

This means there are now three different subscription services offered by YouTube. The first is YouTube TV, which is live streaming television, aimed at cord-cutters, which also happens to include all the YouTube Original programming along with it. That's $49.99 a month.

But YouTube Premium is different. Unlike YouTube TV, it isn't a host for programming one could get through cable. Instead, it's everything that makes YouTube great, from the YouTube Creators to the music videos to YouTube Originals, all advert free and downloadable for $11.99. Another plus that's been added recently: The YouTube Music app. It allows users to listen to audio in the background, instead of having to play videos.

Cobra Kai on YouTube

Unlike YouTube TV, which is meant to compete with services like Hulu, Netflix, Amazon Video, YouTube Premium is all about the glory that is YouTube's own ecosystem. YouTube has been encouraging artists to populate the platform since the beginning, with the ability to generate revenue since 2007. A decade on, some of these names have become mainstream, from Logan Paul to PewDiePie. But other channels like Dude Perfect and Ryan ToysReview hit the top earnings spots in 2018, despite not being widely known. And drama from YouTubers like Jeffree Star and James Charles can blow up Twitter for days. YouTube Premium gives viewers access to all these channels ad-free.

YouTube Premium is a subscription service worth considering, and a world apart from the rest of the TV standards. Currently, it is available for $11.99.

Whether you're single or in a relationship, reading erotica is an awesome way to explore what turns you on. For those times when you don't feel like combing the web for sexy literature, or you'd like to have access to some scandalous inspiration on the go, check out these erotica apps thatll spice up your sex life. Not only is reading sexy content fun, but it can also be a satisfying way to encourage your imagination to roam completely free of judgment. Reading sex stories may also help uncover new insights into how you experience pleasure.

At its core, erotic literature is a non-threatening way to discover what makes you tick. Understanding your sexual identity might even improve IRL sex because you'll know what types of sex practices appeal to you. For those in relationships, erotica can also be used to explore and share fantasies with your partner. If you've been together for a while, it's all too easy to get stuck in a sexual rut which can make sex with your partner feel a bit too predictable. Integrating erotica into your foreplay is just one of many ways to reignite the passion. Reading sexual content has also been linked to an increase in the female sex drive for women suffering from low libidos, according to the Journal of Sex & Marital Therapy. So, if you need some sexy inspiration, here are 3 erotic apps that will make you sweat.

,

1. Dipsea

Dipsea is an app created for women by women which allows its users to listen to erotic stories that are between five minutes and 20 minutes long. According to Dipseas creators, Gina Gutierrez and Faye Keegan, the app uses a technique referred to as "mental framing" to help women get aroused. For far too long, sexuality has been defined by men, as physical, rather than mental, Gutierrez and Keegan told Bustle. And weve heard so many women question whether something is wrong with them because they dont get spontaneously horny, or because things need to feel really right for them to access their sexual feelings.

2. Quinn

Quinn is an erotic app that has taken things to the next level by offering three categories of erotic content including tell, read, and listen. The "tell" section allows users to upload their own erotic audio experience for others to enjoy. The more traditional "read" portion of the app makes it possible for users to read erotic literature, while the "listen" function lets you listen to sexy audio files. This unique app was launched in Spring 2019 by Caroline Spiegel, a Standford student who also happens to be the sister of Snapchat CEO Evan Spiegel.

3. Sex Stories

The Sex Stories app offers readers a diverse selection of erotic content by authors based around the world. The cool thing about this platform is that it includes a wide range of genres to choose from, so there's a little something for everyone. Whether you're interested in venturing into kink, or are more into romance narratives, you'll have plenty of juicy erotica to choose from.

Ultimately, regardless of your relationship status, erotica can be the perfect way to experiment with sexually engaging content. Even if you're not interested in making your sexual fantasies a reality, sexy literature may offer a fun change of pace in the bedroom.

6 Tweets About The White Claw Shortage That'll Help You Get Through It All

If summer 2018 was the season of oversized pool floats, 2019 is definitely White Claw summer. People cannot stop raving about the refreshing hard seltzer. It quickly became a favorite for beach hangouts, backyard BBQs, rooftop happy hours, and pool parties. I definitely understand the hype; the first time I tried it, I immediately fell in love with it as well. However, great demand requires major supply. And as of right now, there seems to be a shortage, and naturally, there are a ton of tweets about the White Claw shortage that are filling up my feed.

According to CNN Business, White Claw's senior vice president of marketing stated the drink has "accelerated faster than anyone could have predicted." As a millennial myself, I know firsthand the minute millennials hop on a trend, they love it hard. Something else I know about millennials is that when something becomes an issue, you take your feels to Twitter.

One way to cope with the shortage of your favorite summer drink is to laugh about it with a tweet or two. So after you stock up on this hard seltzer as soon as possible for your end-of-summer party, you can at least know you're not alone with these tweets about the White Claw shortage. If anything, this is a good life lesson that when you love something, you should fully appreciate it while it's there... and also stock up like there's a zombie apocalypse right around the corner.

,

1. When You Honestly Feel Responsible For The Shortage...

When you feel as though you contributed to the White Claw shortage because Black Cherry is just so good, this tweet will make really speak to your spiked seltzer-loving soul. White Claw summer 2019, you are the greatest of all time.

2. And You Take The Blame Because It's Your Fave Summertime Sip

When you first heard about the White Claw shortage, you may have wanted to delete every single pic you posted about your love for White Claw. You thought for sure the evidence would lead back to you and you'd be outed as the reason for the shortage. (OK, maybe that's a tad dramatic and I'm totally kidding, but seriously though, we just need our White Claw.)

3. When You Want To Point Fingers, But Don't Even Know Where To Start

If loving White Claw is wrong, I don't want to be right. At the end of the day, as much as you may want to, it doesn't really help to point any fingers. All we need is a restock of this favorite beverage ASAP.

4. When Someone Mentions The Shortage, You Just Want It Even More

All of this talk about White Claw is just making you want it even more. Can someone please pass a Black Cherry?

5. This Time Will Potentially Go Down In History

This White Claw shortage honestly feels like it should go down in history. Someday, you may even be telling your grandkids where you were when the news broke. (Just kidding, but hopefully this tweet will make you smile, laugh a bit, and cope.)

6. When You Spot An Empty Shelf And Low-Key Want To Tear Up

Staring at an empty shelf where boxes of White Claw apparently should be low-key makes you start to get the sniffles. Does this officially mean the end of summer 2019? I'll never let go, White Claw. I'll never let go.

The 'Friends' Pop-Up Shop In NYC Has 7 Photo Opps That Will Central Perk You Right Up

Friends rings in its 25th anniversary on Sept. 22, but the festivities have already begun. For one week in August from Aug. 16 through Aug. 23 two Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf locations in Los Angeles turned their spaces into real-life Central Perks, where fans could order everything from "The Rachel Matcha Latte" to "The Joey Mango Cold Brew Tea." This month, the celebrations are even bigger, as the Friends pop-up shop in New York City opened its doors, and it includes multiple photo opportunities only true Friends fans would understand and appreciate. As a diehard fan of the series, I have just three words to say about the space: "Oh. My. Gawd."

On Friday, Sept. 6, I got to experience the Friends pop-up shop created by live entertainment company Superfly one day before the sold-out event opened up to the public, and it completely activated my nostalgia. I got a sneak peek of the original copy of the 18-page (front and back) letter Rachel wrote Ross, asking if he could take full responsibility for the demise of their relationship. That nearly brought tears to my eyes.

Other original props at the space include a copy of Ross' Science Boy comic; the Geller Cup; Chandler's "best bud" friendship bracelet from Joey; Phoebe's dollhouse; Joey's stuffed penguin, Huggsy; and about 50 more authentic pieces. Plus, there are five Rachel wigs, immortalizing Jennifer Aniston's iconic hairstyles on the show forever.

As with any pop-up experience, photo opps were a must. And, let me tell you, this particular experience did not disappoint. Here are the seven yes, seven Instagram-worthy opportunities you can find at the Friends pop-up shop in NYC:

1. The Opening Credits Scene

Grab the pals who'll always be there for you, and you can recreate the scene that kicks off every episode of the show. The area is equipped with multiple umbrellas and replicas of the classic water fountain, lamp, and orange couch.

2. The "Pivot!" Couch

Though it's far too difficult for me to pick my favorite episode of Friends, my favorite scene is the one where Rachel and Chandler attempt to help Ross squeeze his new couch up the stairs of his new apartment building while he continuously shouts, "Pivot!" (This probably doesn't sound funny to non-Friends watchers, but my besties and I still crack up over it.) At the pop-up, you can pretend to do the same. Similarly to the show, that couch won't budge.

3. Monica's Door

Monica's apartment is, arguably, the main setting of the comedy. (Though you can definitely make arguments for Central Perk as well.) So of course you can poke your head out from behind her quintessential green door. On the flip side, you'll find her equally recognizable purple door with yellow peephole frame.

4. Monica's Turkey Head

One of the most memorable moments from "The One With All The Thanksgivings" is when Monica puts a turkey on her head to cheer up Chandler. (You know, after he learns that she accidentally cut off the tip of one of his toes because he once mocked her weight.) She completes her look with a fez and yellow sunglasses, and proceeds to shimmy. Well, ladies and gentlemen, you can now do the same, because the pop-up has a (fake) turkey head for you to try on as well.

5. Everything Chandler Owns

Could you be wearing any more clothes? Like Joey does in "The One Where No One's Ready," you can put on everything Chandler owns. Just make sure you're not going commando.

6. Joey & Chandler's Apartment

Speaking of Joey and Chandler, you can also take pics inside their apartment. Sit back in a BarcaLounger, relax in front of Pat the dog, play a round of foosball, and hope Joey isn't locked inside the cupboard.

7. Central Perk

The pice de rsistance of the NYC pop-up is, of course, Central Perk. Gunther won't be working there though, James Michael Tyler did make an appearance on press day but you can still sit down at the counter, on the green loveseat, or on the iconic orange couch. Sorry, but Maggie Wheeler (aka Janice) will most likely not be there when you arrive.

FYI, Central Perk is not just for show a few steps away from the photo opp, you can actually order from a replica of the coffee shop. Options include "Joey's NY Apple Pie," "Ross' Mini Blueberry Bribe," 'Chandler's Licked Banana Nut Muffin," and "Phoebe's Great Great Grandma's Famous Cookies."

Though the Friends pop-up experience has sold out, you can still purchase exclusive 25th anniversary items at the retail store, located at 503 Broadway in NYC, or online at Friends25PopUp.com.
