The dissolution of a marriage can be an incredibly painful experience. But going through it in the public eye, well, thats a whole other level of hurt. Not only do the stars have to cope with the rollercoaster of emotions that typically come with this process, but they have to deal with media commentary on their personal life. Perhaps thats why these celebrity quotes about divorce feel so profound. Given all that these A-listers had to go through while ending their marriage in the spotlight, one might assume that they have a special brand of wisdom on the subject.

The fact is, fame doesnt make you immune to the heartbreak that comes with ending a marriage. Just like the rest of us, celebrities may rely on support from family and friends, self-love practices, and professional counsel in order to heal from the experience. But the important thing is that they do bounce back. In fact, these quotes demonstrate that many of them have learned valuable lessons from divorce.

Luckily for us, some stars have actually shared what theyve taken from the experience. Here are some particularly powerful and encouraging quotes that are sure to hit you right in the feels.

,

Mandy Moore

Mandy Moore has stayed somewhat close-mouthed about her divorce from Ryan Adams (who she was married to for nearly six years), but when she has commented on it, shes done so with immense poise. During an August 2016 This Is Us panel in Beverly Hills, just a couple of months after her divorce from the singer-songwriter was finalized, she said:

I think everything happens for a reason I think I spent a good portion of the last years of my life really pouring all of my energy into my life and relationship, and now that that's sort of not part of my life anymore. It's just not a coincidence to me that things sort of opened back up, and I'm able to focus back on myself again.

Amy Poehler

We typically look to Amy Poehler for levity and laughter, but divorce is one subject she doesnt have a comedic spin for. In her memoir, Yes, Please she shares candid thoughts about a number of personal experiences including her split from Will Arnett in 2012. She writes:

Imagine spreading everything you care about on a blanket and then tossing the whole thing up in the air. The process of divorce is about loading that blanket, throwing it up, watching it all spin, and worrying what stuff will break when it lands.

How's that for a heart-wrenching metaphor?

Khlo Kardashian

Koko is certainly no stranger to heartbreaking splits but before her relationship with Tristan Thompson was under the harsh spotlight, it was her 2016 divorce from Lamar Odom that was making headlines. In a 2015 cover story for Complex, she talks about staying in touch with her ex, and being grateful for what they had, despite the fact that it didnt work out. Heres one standout quote from the insightful interview:

When you genuinely feel like that was the right relationship, youre supposed to give it all you can. Thats what marriage is about ... I think Lamars gonna always be that person [for me] but thats what made it so special. Even if I had it for five years or whatever, it was the best ever and Im grateful I did. Some people dont get that ever and I had that magic for a long time ... I miss what we had things we got to do together are just memories. I like looking back and holding on to that stuff. I definitely miss it, and there are times Ill get so sentimental and so sad, but this had to happen for some reason. Ill figure it out over time, someone will give me that answer eventually.

Lisa Bonet

Lisa Bonet and Lenny Kravitz are straight-up #divorcegoals. After all, the duo has not only managed to successfully co-parent their daughter Zoe, but Kravitz even gifted his ex-wife and her new husband, Jason Momoa, with a pair of friendship rings. In a March 2018 interview with PORTEREdit, Lisa Bonet discussed her 1992 split, calling it a very accelerated time, spiritually and intellectually. She also spoke to her choice to grow stronger from the heartbreak, noting:

I didnt want to pass on those heirlooms and this fresh wound of a divorceI think there are probably times when these thresholds can either sink you or you can see who you are and rise and dust yourself off.

Gwyneth Paltrow

Leave it to Goop founder and wellness guru Gwyneth Paltrow to still find the light at the end of the tunnel when it comes to divorce. In an interview with The EDIT, the actress discussed her philosophy on conscious uncoupling and finding an opportunity for personal growth while ending her marriage to Coldplay frontman Chris Martin in 2016. She said:

I wanted to turn my divorce into a positive. What if I didnt blame the other person for anything, and held myself 100 percent accountable? What if I checked my own sh*t at the door and put my children first? And reminded myself about the things about my ex-husband that I love, and fostered the friendship?

While Paltrow admitted that divorce was an incredibly difficult process, she told The EDIT that she doesnt have regrets about any of her so-called failures because she uses her mistakes as a stepping stone to get somewhere else."

Jenna Dewan

It goes without saying that April 2, 2018 will go down in history as a sad day for Jenna Dewan and Channing Tatum shippers because thats the date that the duo announced they were going their separate ways in a joint statement exclusive to People. Fans were confused, not to mention heartbroken. I mean, if these two beautiful dancers who shared an on-set romance and eventually, a child, cant make it work, who can? In her January 2019 cover story interview with Cosmopolitan, Dewan revealed how she was able to move on from her divorce, explaining:

I didnt run away from my feelings. I let myself cry. I let myself grieve. This is one of those situations where I will see the light. The dawn is coming. I do believe in love still, but I also believe it begins with really digging deep and learning how to love yourself.

In other words, Dewan was fully in her feelings and she embraced it. Seems like she had an emotionally healthy approach all around.

Scarlett Johansson

These days, it seems like Scarlett Johansson is a smitten kitten with Colin Jost. Still, the actress definitely had to go through her fair share of heartache before finding her potential happy ending. In her May 2014 cover story for Glamour, Johannsen held nothing back about her newfound perspective on her divorce from Ryan Reynolds in 2011. She told the magazine:

I feel I know now more of what I need in a relationship, what I want in a relationship. And I know I have more tools to communicate, not just with my partner, but with myself. Thats not necessarily any reflection of who I was married to or what was happening in my marriage, but really where I was in my life.

Divorce may be a brutal process but at least ScarJo seems to have learned a lot about herself throughout.

Hilary Duff

Just one week after Hilary Duff and Mike Comrie finalized the dissolution of their marriage in February of 2015, the ex-couple took their son Luca on a family vacation to Hawaii. So, clearly, Duff has a progressive stance on divorce. In a November 2017 interview on the podcast The Love Bomb, she told her Younger costar Nico Tortorella:

I can't imagine going through that process with anyone but him, and he continues to be my very good friend. That's honestly speaking from my heart.
So, I think we handled it very consciously and with a lot of love. But marriage is sacred and marriage is not for everyone. Marriage is work. Marriage is really hard. Everyone's like, 'Are you going to get married again?' I'm like, 'I don't know!'

Apparently, Duff did regain her faith in the institution because in May 2019, she got engaged to singer-songwriter and producer Matthew Koma, with who[m] she shares a daughter.

Eva Longoria

When Eva Longoria and NBA star Tony Parker ended their relationship in November 2010 after three years of marriage, they cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for their divorce. However, Longoria had to cope with incessant rumors in the media about her exs supposed infidelity. She told ABC News Katie Couric in 2012:

I think I handled it as gracefully as I could. It was painful, but life goes on. I always said I hold onto the love and not the loss. There was a reason why we got married and fell in love. I think the press also wanted me to hate him and villainize him. And I don't. And I didn't.

Miranda Kerr

In a December 2016 interview with Elle Canada, Miranda Kerr calls herself a naturally positive person whos always laughing. But apparently, she had a difficult time finding any shred of levity when it came to her divorce from Orlando Bloom. In fact, the supermodel admitted that she fell into a really bad depression. After bravely and honestly sharing the dark side of her experience, she revealed that did eventually learn an important lesson from it. Kerr told the magazine:

What I have found is that everything you need, all of the answers are deep inside of you. Sit with yourself, take a few breaths and get close to your spirit.

Who knew meditation and mindfulness could be such powerful mechanisms for coping with divorce?

Anna Faris

When Chris Pratt and Anna Faris announced their separation via a Facebook post on Aug. 6, 2017, the world was shook. After all, for the duration of their eight-year marriage, Faris and Pratt seemed to have the picture-perfect relationship. Fortunately the comedienne did take a lot away from the undoubtedly painful experience. In an August 2017 episode of her Unqualified podcast, she advised one caller:

Life is too short to be in relationships where you feel this isn't fully right or somebody doesn't have your back, or somebody doesn't fully value you. Don't be afraid to feel your independence if things aren't right.

Can I get an Amen?

Reese Witherspoon

Reese Witherspoon is all about positive vibes only even in regards to her divorce from Ryan Philippe, who she was married to for seven years and shares two children with. In a May 2011 issue of Parade, she told the magazine:

There are things in my life that are hard to reconcile, like divorce. Sometimes it is very difficult to make sense of how it could possibly happen. Laying blame is so easy. I don't have time for hate or negativity in my life. There's no room for it.

Katy Perry

These days, Katy Perry is living her best life with Orlando Bloom #relationshipgoals. But once upon a time, the pop star was married to Russell Brand, and in a 2014 interview with Rolling Stone, she admitted that the split took quite a toll on her. She told the magazine:

[Divorce] was emotionally traumatic for me. It was the death of a dream. I was in fairytale land, and the reality of it wasn't so.

And thats not the only pearl of divorce wisdom Perry has bestowed on us, either. She also told Marie Claire in 2013 that she survived the experience by drinking and eating Flamin' Hot Cheetos. Hows that for relatable?

Sandra Oh

Sandra Oh has remained rather close-mouthed about her 2006 divorce from filmmaker Alexander Payne, who she was married to for three years. Still, that doesnt mean the gossip about her relationship hasnt gotten to her. When asked about the media coverage of her split in a 2007 interview, the Greys Anatomy star told Marie Claire:

I don't listen to this stuff. I don't see it I tell my people I don't want to know about it because while rationally you might know it's ridiculous, it can hurt your feelings. It can knock me off from being my authentic self.

Jennifer Aniston

Jennifer Aniston has been through not one, but two painful divorces. Prior to her 2017 split from Justin Theroux (who she was married to for two years), she and Brad Pitt were the Hollywood couple, until they divorced after five years of marriage. In 2005, she told Vanity Fair:

There are many stages of grief. It's sad, something coming to an end. It cracks you open, in a way cracks you open to feeling. When you try to avoid the pain, it creates greater pain. I'm a human being, having a human experience in front of the world. I wish it weren't in front of the world. I try really hard to rise above it.

And that, in a nutshell, is why we love Jen she keeps it real AF.

Nicole Kidman

Speaking of keepin it real, Nicole Kidman didnt sugarcoat things when she commented on her much-publicized split from Tom Cruise, who she was married to for 12 years. In an emotional interview on Oprah Winfreys talk show in 2011, the same year that she and Cruise divorced, she said:

I think that divorce is hard for anyone. It's a nightmare, it just is, and you can pretend you're fine. And days you're great [and] days you're not great.

Jennifer Garner

When Vanity Fair interviewed Jennifer Garner for the March 2016 cover story, she and Ben Affleck had just announced their split eight months prior. The couple had been married for exactly 10 years a lifetime in Hollywood years. After the reporter asked Garner if there was a turning point at which she realized she couldnt work any harder in her marriage, she wisely replied:

Im a pretty hard worker. Its one of the pains in my life that something I believe in so strongly Ive completely failed at twice. You have to have two people to dance a marriage. My hearts a little on the tender side right now, and its always easier to focus on the ways that you feel hurt, but I know that, with time and some perspective, Ill have a clearer sense of where I let the system down, because theres no way I get off in this.

Jennifer Lopez

In the HBO documentary Jennifer Lopez: Dance Again, Jennifer Lopez shared that while her third marriage to Marc Anthony was ending (after 10 years together), she felt like she couldnt get up in the morning. She explained:

There's no pain or failure like going through a divorce. That hope, that dream, that fairy talewith that first time that dream gets blown to pieces, you feel like you're going to die. You feel like you failed. You feel like no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't make it work.

Jenny Slate

Considering that Jenny Slate still remains both a creative collaborator and friend with her ex-husband, filmmaker Dean Fleischer-Camp, one might assume the actress and comedienne is a pro at amicable breakups. That doesnt mean her split didnt sting, however in an August 2017 interview with Marie Claire, she told the reporter:

A divorce moves at the speed of complete deadening silence, or that's how it feels. When we got divorced, I felt like I was in outer space. But I think we at least had the foresight, even amidst all that pain, to say, 'If we don't do this now, we will never be able to be together at all in any way. Just because something didn't work out in its original form doesn't mean you have to denigrate it and say it was worth nothing.

Christina Aguilera

In April of 2011, Aguilera finalized her divorce from marketing exec Jordan Bratman, whom she married in 2005. That same year that she and Bratman split, she did an interview with W, in which she revealed how she felt about the medias response to her personal struggles. She also said, It got to a point where our life at home was reminding me of my own childhood (Aguileras parents divorced when she was 7). She added:

I will not have my son grow up in a tension-filled home. I knew there would be a negative reaction in the press to my divorce, but I am not going to live my life because of something someone might say. That goes against everything I sing on my records. I have to be myself.

Mary J. Blige

When Mary J. Blige sings No More Drama, she really means it. The pop star filed for divorce from Kendu Isaacs, her husband of 12 years, in July of 2016, and she told People in a 2019 interview that it took her a couple of years to heal from the split. Now, she seems to be focusing on self-love. She said:

I think that I realized that no matter what comes to me, no matter how big or bad it is, I have to keep moving, I have to keep living. I said, No, Im not going to stay in this marriage. Im out of here. Thats what thriving is about.
Im very content, and Im happy with myself. I learned to be happy with just Mary, just enjoying my own company, me by myself most of the time.

Drew Barrymore

On April 2, 2016, Drew Barrymore and art consultant Will Kopelman released a joint statement confirming their separation after four years of marriage. And according to Drew Barrymore, who has been married three times, a divorce is different from any other kind of breakup for one painful reason.

In an interview with Chelsea Handler on her Netflix series, Chelsea, she explained:

When you break up with somebody, you're like, 'Yeah, that didn't work.' When you get divorced, you're like, 'I'm the biggest failure. This is the biggest failure. It's so shameful and hard to actually go through that, even privately.

Jemima Kirke

When it comes to her 2017 divorce from lawyer Michael Mosberg, Jemima Kirke aka Jessa from HBOs Girls isnt afraid to be blunt AF. Kirke, who was married to Mosberg for seven years, called her 2009 wedding pointless in an interview with W Magazine, not because she doesnt believe in the institution of marriage, but because she believes its wrong to be married and be unhappy and stay. She also commented on the reason for her split, saying:

I got divorced and I attribute that to acting. And just asking myself, Is this really me? In acting, you are always asking yourself why you do things, why you make the choices you make Everything means something. And so then you start looking at your own life in that way.

Jessica Simpson

When asked in her 2009 Glamour interview about her 2005 split from Nick Lachey (RIP MTVs Newlyweds), Jessica Simpson admitted she doesnt like to discuss divorce often because it was a heart-wrenching thing to go through. Still, she demonstrated immense hope, adding:

It was hard to imagine I would ever walk down the aisle again. It was like a death in the family: You go through the mourning stage, then the rebellion, and then all of a sudden you have to find life by yourself. Once you do that, you feel complete and that's the only time you can truly fall in love again, and give yourself over completely to another person.

Halle Berry

Despite the fact that Halle Berry had already been through two divorces when she and actor Olivier Martinez split in December 2016, her third was no easier to stomach. In fact, she confessed at the 2017 City Summit and Gala in Los Angeles that she felt "huge disappointment" when her marriage didnt work out. She explained:

[As] women, we go into marriage thinking its going to last forever and that this is our prince on a shiny horse. Thats what fairy tales taught me as a kid... and Im kind of antifairy tales today. Ive often felt guilty and responsible. Ive suffered a lot of pain and anguish.

Where To Get Camila Cabello's 'Romance' Merch, Because You're Going To Want It All

Taylor Swift might have just dropped one of the buzziest merch collections of the year, but another pop songstress has followed in her footsteps and released her own lineup of dreamy styles. Wondering where to get Camila Cabello's 'Romance' merch? All of the singer's new sartorial offerings (including the coolest tie-dye hoodie) are available to snag at her web store at this very moment, so drop whatever you're doing and get ready to go on a digital shopping spree.

To say Cabello has had an epic few weeks would be an understatement. In late August 2019, she and rumored boyfriend Shawn Mendes lit up the VMAs stage with a steamy performance of their duet, "Seorita," subsequently making all of America sigh in complete adoration (and maybe a little jealousy, or is that just me?). And on Sept. 5, she released two new songs, "Liar" and "Shameless," which will appear on her upcoming album called Romance. Appropriately, the merch dropped on that same day and centers on the two tracks. Cabello announced her new shop-able products via an Instagram post in which she wears the new styles. "Im happy to inform you this new merch is both extremely cozy AND twerkable go get it at: !!!!! (and send me pix once you have it!!!!) ," she captioned the post, adding a link to her website at the end.

Head to her web store, and the first thing you might notice about the merch is that it all comes in at under $80. Compared to other artists' merch, that's a total steal.

The collection kicks off with two "Liar" hoodies; one is blue tie dye and the other is solid blue.

Both styles feature the artwork for "Liar" on the back, which shows a winged Cabello sitting down with arrows in her back. Very fitting for the song title, wouldn't you say? Both hoodies retail for $80.

The next "Liar" offering is a white tee that features a winged Cabello on the front (this time, she's standing and there are no arrows in sight) and a graphic on the back that shows the word "lover" slowly melting into the word "liar." For $35, it's a great deal.

Rounding out the "Liar" offerings are a bandana printed with the song title, featuring a dreamy cloud print ($20), as well as a poster of the track art ($20).

The "Shameless" merch lineup includes two clothing styles, the first of which is an extremely cool long sleeve shirt ($50) it might be my favorite style from the whole drop. Featuring pink detailing on the arms and cool detailed graphics on the front and back, it's a piece you could wear with jeans and black booties and look effortlessly rad in.

The second piece of shameless clothing is a black tee ($35) with "Shameless" scrawled underneath the crewneck on the front, while the back features a graphic of a bleeding heart and the words "Write It On My Neck."

Instead of a bandana, this drop includes a safety pin necklace ($25) that boasts the word "Shameless" in nameplate form. It's a subtle way to stan your favorite songstress and is an unexpected style to find in a merch drop.

Which style is your favorite? Romance is expected to drop before 2019 concludes, so chances are even more ace merch is on its way.

Where To Get Ouai's New Super Dry Shampoo To Banish Excess Oils For Good

Attention, Attention! Calling all ~cool girls~! Instagram's favorite haircare brand just dropped a brand-new product that's basically their OG formula times a thousand, so if you're wondering where to get Ouai's new Super Dry Shampoo, I don't blame you, because it sounds beyond incredible. Everything celebrity stylist and Ouai founder Jen Atkin touches turns to perfectly-tousled hair gold, so if she says this dry shampoo is a can't-live-without-it product, then gosh darnit, I simply can't and won't live without it.

If you're like, "Wait, doesn't Ouai already make a dry shampoo?" then the answer you're looking for is yes, yes they do. This newbie, however, is different, and perhaps their best dry shampoo formula to date. The brand took to Instagram to announce the new drop, and was sure to highlight why this particular formula stands out for greasy strands. Its a *SUPER* SurpriseMeet our newest product, Super Dry Shampoo!" Ouai wrote on Instagram. "A super absorbent dry shampoo made with volcanic minerals and rice starch to soak up your heaviest oil flow," the caption continued.

As per usual, the product comes in extremely chic silver aerosol packaging with a crisp white Ouai label:

Not to distract from this baby's oil-eliminating capabilities, but allow me to go off on a tangent about how excited I was to hear that this product's scent is "Melrose Place," aka one of Ouai's formerly-limited-edition fragrances that was just recently added to their permanent product lineup. The combo of rose, bergamot, lychee, cedarwood, and white musk is absolute perfection, and I already know I'll be spraying this stuff constantly just to get a good whiff. Ugh, so great.

Anyway, back to business. The Super Dry Shampoo ($24, theouai.com) previewed at SEPHORiA, and it's available now on both the Sephora and Ouai websites:

Super Dry Shampoo
Ouai

So, what makes this new product different from the brand's original dry shampoo? The OG isn't going away, and it'll still do your strands good, but the Super Dry Shampoo is an amped-up formula in its own right, designed particularly for overly-oily hair days. Rice stach works to absorb oil, volcanic minerals naturally cleanse, and rhodiola rosea extract helps to fight free radicals. Both the original Dry Shampoo and the Super version retail for $24, while the brand's Dry Shampoo Foam is a bit pricier at $28.

I know I have around 10 dry shampoos in my collection right now, but I'll still be buying this one. Don't judge me! Sooner or later my stash will run out, and I guarantee I'll be grateful to have this on deck:

Oh, and just in case you needed yet another reason to love Ouai, the brand made a very generous donation to Period.org in honor of the new product launching. Ouai donated $20,000 to the organization, which is dedicated to both breaking down period-related stigma and ensuring women in need have access to menstrual hygiene products. A new dry shampoo for me, and a charitable donation for women in need? Ouai, you are simply the best.

Joaquin Phoenix's Astrology Chart Is Proof He'll Be The Greatest Joker Of All Time

Comic book fan or not, you know there's nothing simple about the DC supervillain known as the Joker. Although, I will tell you quite simply that Joaquin Phoenix's astrology chart is proof he'll be the greatest Joker of all time. This, of course, is an opinion-based prediction, but I'm about to reveal the eerie planetary placements that exist within Joaquin Phoenix's birth chart. Maybe at the end you'll become a believer, too.

However, before we move along and personally dissect the intensely Plutonian actor as per the cosmos let's take a closer look at who is considered one of the most infamous criminals within Gotham City. Although the origin of this character who was introduced in Batman #1 in 1940 has continuously changed over the past seven or eight decades, most versions are inspired by the 1988 DC comic Batman: The Killing Joke. Written by Alan Moore, it tells the story of a misunderstood comedian who lost his humanity after one bad day.

Despite being completely blown away by the late Heath Ledger's Oscar-winning performance as the Joker in The Dark Knight (2008), I dare to say that Phoenix's portrayal of the cynical supervillain will likely shock viewers even more. I mean, have you seen official Joker trailer yet? It's chilling. And once I officially dissect Joaquin Phoenix's birth chart, you'll be better acquainted with his eerie Scorpionic lure and enigmatic persona.

Joaquin Phoenix's Birth Chart

According to AstroTheme.com, when Joaquin Phoenix was born on Oct. 28, 1974, there was a sun-Mars-Venus conjunction in smoldering Scorpio. The essence of this fixed water sign is intense, mysterious, and incredibly magnetic. Ruled by powerful Pluto Lord of the Underworld and the planet of death, sex, and transformation Scorpio is constantly regenerating itself. When it's in its most evolved state, it rises from the ashes like a wait for it phoenix. (Seriously, his name couldn't be more perfect.) It's no wonder Joaquin Phoenix is known for portraying the more brooding type of roles where the character becomes utterly consumed by something taboo-like, or is given no choice but to transform amidst an emotionally volatile lifestyle.

It gets better, though. This celestial cluster of Scorpionic goodness emanating intense mystery and power was harmoniously aligned with Jupiter in Pisces at his time of birth. Jupiter is the planet of expansion and opportunity; whatever this planet touches immediately becomes bigger. In ethereal Pisces, Jupiter blesses the native in this case, Joaquin Phoenix with a deeply compassionate nature and spiritual empathy. Neptune-ruled Pisces is the sign of the arts and film; therefore, those with their Jupiter in Pisces are typically gifted with a colorful imagination and a highly adaptable persona.

Interestingly enough, Phoenix's Jupiter is in his sixth house of day-to-day routine and environment. This is precisely why he spends the majority of his days on set making movies. Although, with the help of that alluring sun-Mars-Venus conjunction in Scorpio via his second house of money, values, and unique gifts trine Jupiter in Pisces it's safe to say Phoenix has no trouble putting the deepest parts of his psyche (Scorpio) on display. So much so, his North Node life mission and soul purpose is sitting alongside Neptune (art and film) in Sagittarius, which also happens to be Jupiter's sign of rulership. Do you see the cosmic correlation here? Now, after considering the deep psychological trauma that exists within the Joker's character, I sincerely believe there is no better candidate for the part.

Phoenix's sun-Mars-Venus in Scorpio trine Jupiter in Pisces truly speaks for itself. In intoxicating Scorpio, Mars becomes an endless source of power. Aside from its innate ability to dive into the deepest and darkest crevices of the human psyche, it naturally exudes a ravishing intensity that's almost impossible to describe. Granted, this could very well be the cause of toxic behavior and self-destruction, but there's always a silver lining. Meanwhile, Phoenix's Venus in Scorpio can become easily fixated by the object of his desires and when channeled correctly, its trine to Jupiter in Pisces serves as an artistic outlet to express his smoldering passions.

In the end, I believe Joaquin Phoenix has what it takes to give one of the best Joker performances of all time. Joker hits theaters on Oct. 4, so we'll get to test my theory very soon.

Your Myers-Briggs personality type presents a goldmine of information about your love life, like who youre most compatible with, whether you value commitment, and even how you handle breakups. So it should come as no surprise that there are certain MBTI types that just seem to crush it when it comes to relationships. Make no mistake, however: The Myers-Briggs personality types who have the happiest relationships dont get to avoid romantic difficulties, and theyve had their fair share of heartbreak, too. But overall, the relationships they pursue are happy, healthy and furthermore, hella fulfilling.

As you might expect, certain traits like agreeableness, optimism, and empathy can set someone up for relationship success. One 2016 study published in the journal Personality and Individual Differences assessed correlations between personality traits and life satisfaction of 468 participants before and after they got married. The study found that women who scored low on the extraversion scale and high on the conscientiousness scale (meaning theyre more careful and thorough) were more likely to experience a sustained happiness boost after marriage. The researchers concluded that this may be because conscientious individuals are goal-oriented, and therefore may strive harder to ensure that their relationship works.

But those arent the only qualities that might positively impact your love life. Read on to find out which Myers-Briggs personality types tend to reach #couplegoals status.

,

ESFJ

This personality type is known as the quintessential social butterfly. Friendly, warm, and energetic, ESFJs have no problem making connections with others. Not only that, but they have no fear of commitment, and theyre super reliable, which means their partner can trust that when they say theyll show up, they will. All of this might help to explain why, according to Truity Psychometrics, ESFJs rank the highest of all types in reported satisfaction with their relationships.

Another one of the ESFJs beneficial qualities is that they are always eager to figure out what their loved ones need from them, and will do whatever it takes to keep the peace and achieve a harmonious environment. Plus, they were ranked among the highest of all the personality types in resources for coping with stress. Both of these factors help them to deal with conflict well, which is crucial because as we all know, disagreements are inevitable in any relationship.

ESFJs may need a lot of validation and support from their SOs, but they give so much of it in return. An ESFJs partner is sure to feel loved and appreciated, considering that they will shower them with compliments and other verbal affirmations.

An ESFJ gives everything 100%, and their relationships are no different. So, as long as The Consul feels that their partner is just as enthusiastic about and committed to the bond as they are, theyre bound to be happy AF in their relationship.

ENTP

Improvement is the name of the game for ENTPs. Theyre all about working on themselves, while also helping their partners to be the best they can be. Considering that growth is key to ensuring that a relationship thrives, it makes sense why this personality type might be more likely to have happy relationships. An ENTP will help the person theyre dating to achieve their goals while also looking to their SO for help achieving theirs, and these shared experiences help to solidify their romantic bonds in a meaningful way.

Not to mention, ENTPs are excellent communicators. They rely on their keen intuition to read their partners moods and emotions, and theyre always looking to understand them on a deeper level, even, and especially, when they disagree on something (hence why the ENTP is known as The Debater).

Because an ENTP is always seeking to reach a place of understanding and progress, theyre able to expertly work through conflict with their partner in a way thats productive and respectful.

ENFJ

Relationships are always a high priority in any ENFJ's life, so they are more than willing to put in the necessary effort to make things work. Thats why theyre known for regularly checking in with their partner to make sure they feel heard, loved, and appreciated. And not only are they skilled at figuring out when bae is unhappy, but theyll go the extra mile to do something about it.

The ENFJ personality belongs to the NF temperament, and NFs are not only idealistic but also incredibly nurturing. As long as theyre careful not to avoid conflict, a relationship with a compatible personality type is sure to provide immense joy for both partners given that ENFJs seem to bring out the best in the people they connect with. Loyal, affectionate, and compassionate, this personality type is happiest and most fulfilled in stable, long-term relationships.

ESFP

Relationships are endlessly fun for ESFPs and the people who date them. After all, this type is known as The Entertainer.

The ESFP is known for their unparalleled passion, which definitely comes in handy between the sheets. But they also have a knack for always managing to see the bright side, which is useful when their relationship hits any inevitable hurdles. To boot, this type has an impressive amount of emotional strength. While they may seem sociable and sensual on the surface, they are also incredibly decisive and down-to-earth.

So, is it any wonder that ESFPs are ranked second highest among all the personality types in terms of marital satisfaction? As an added bonus, ESFPs are adept at problem-solving, so theyre able to work through disagreements with their partner in an exceptionally effective, healthy way.

INFJ

Quirky, caring, and complex, the INFJ isnt going to settle for just anyone, theyll wait until they found someone who they truly click with and can be themselves around. Not only do they look for a partner who they can see a future with, but they also look for someone who shares their same values. And since they tend to take things slow when it comes to romance, theyre unlikely to get in over their head too fast. Although they may be selective, once theyve invested in a relationship, theyre all in. An INFJ will never stop working to increase the emotional, intellectual, and physical intimacy with their partner.

It makes sense that the INFJ is known as The Advocate. Theyre generous with their support of the people they believe in, and theyre always willing to lend a helping hand to make life easier for the object of their affection. Also, the INFJ is incredibly sensitive by nature, which means theyre highly aware of their SOs needs, wants, fears, and insecurities.

The INFJ may be somewhat averse to fighting with bae, but that doesnt mean they cant handle it with maturity. In fact, according to Truity, the INFJs conflict resolution style is both accommodating and compromising. Honestly, does it get any better than that?

For the record, just because youre not one of these MBTI personality types doesnt mean that you cant have happy relationships. And on the flip side, just because you happen to be one of these types doesnt mean that all of your relationships will be happy. A healthy, mutually satisfying relationship involves more than one person, after all, and every couple is unique. The quality of your relationships depends on a complex range of factors, like your communication, how you handle conflict, whether you and bae have shared values and goals for the future and the degree to which you show each other support and appreciation. In other words, while your personality type may offer some insight into how easy it is for you to sustain happy relationships, it ultimately comes down the amount of work youre willing to put into them.

Here’s What Sexual Compatibility Feels Like, According To Experts

Getting it on with someone who gets you can be really special. Like finding the perfect pair of jeans (or the perfect person to go down on you as you shop for jeans online), some things in life just fit. Though talking to the people you sleep with about your emotions and sexual preferences is important, articulating something visceral isn't always easy. Breaking down that indescribable, it-just-feels-right feeling is no small feat. In fact, understanding what sexual compatibility feels like can mean listening to your body (and various sex experts).

"Sexual compatibility occurs when two or more bodies and minds match up during a sexual experience," Gigi Engle, a certified sex coach, sexologist, and author of All The F*cking Mistakes: a guide to sex, love, and life, tells Elite Daily. "You're super into the things this person does to your body: the way they kiss, their smell, their sexual technique. You have chemistry, and things are hot. It means there is a spark. Everything sort of works."

According to Engle, though you may instantly feel a spark-like sensation with someone, it's entirely natural for sexual compatibility to grow or build over time. "We often think if the sex isn't fireworks-amazing that we don't have sexual chemistry and that just isn't the case," Engle says. "Sexual compatibility means there is potential for amazing sex in the future."

Maybe you and your partner were super nervous the first time you saw each other naked, or you needed a minute to get in tune. Don't stress, because the first couple of times you have sex with a new partner may not always be super sexy. (Cue me struggling to unzip my pants or bonking heads with someone in the dark.) Though Engle attests that feeling a "spark" with someone is important, sexual compatibility doesn't always happen overnight.

"Being sexually compatible does not mean the sex will be perfect the first few times you have it," Engle says. "Everything takes practice, and it takes time to get to know someone's body."

Do you need to feel comfortable with someone before you can talk to them about what you like in the bedroom? Does it take you a while to really learn someone's body? As Kacey Musgraves says, sometimes the best things are a slow burn. Though sexual compatibility may happen instantly for some people, for many others, getting in the groove with a boo takes some serious (sexy) practice.

According to sexuality educator Jamie J. LeClaire, being sexually compatible with someone doesn't mean reading their mind or having amazing sex every time. Sexual compatibility, at its core, is about being able to communicate with your partner about where you're at.

"Sexual compatibility is the degree to which you and a partner are 'on the same page' in the bedroom," LeCLaire tells Elite Daily. "This includes our values, beliefs, desires, sex drive, preferences, kinks, and expectations around sex."

According to LeClaire, being on the same page doesn't need to mean having the same exact preferences or desires as your partner(s). Sexual compatibility can often look like you and your boo having complementary values or desires. As LeClaire shares, a sexually compatible couple may agree about how often to have sex and what type(s) of sex acts they enjoy exploring the most. Of course, you and your partner(s)'s sexual preferences and desires can (and often do) change over time. Sexual compatibility doesn't mean staying on the same page forever, but being able to communicate as a couple when you evolve as individuals.

"Sexual compatibility can differ from person to person, relationship to relationship," LeClaire says. "It can differ depending on specific sex acts, and it can also absolutely change over time or as a relationship evolves. That's why it's important to be able to regularly check-in and communicate honestly with your sexual partner."

LeClaire shares that while open communication with a partner can take a lot of work, ideally, sexual compatibility should feel pretty natural. "We deserve to be in sexual relationships in which we feel confident and secure, and satisfied," LeClaire says. "Sex is a form of intimacy, so it's important to feel that intimacy is reciprocal. It should at least feel like contentment or excitement with your sex life. It shouldn't feel like your partner is expecting something from you that you don't feel able to give."

If you're wondering how to get on the same page with your partner, LeClaire shares that the best thing to do is practice communication. "If we avoid talking about these things, then we can't expect anything to change or improve," LeClaire says. Though you may already know what you are and aren't into, LeClaire suggests making "Yes/No/Maybe" lists for you and your partner to fill out. These questionnaires can include different sex moves you'd be interested in trying or fantasies you've never shared. LeClaire also recommends thinking about topics you want to discuss with your partner(s). Examples include how long you like to have sex, how often you like to have sex, what types of positions you want to try, and what foreplay works best for you.

Like hunting around for the perfect pair of jeans, discovering sexual compatibility with someone can take a while. Of course, if you feel like you need some clarity or you want to try something new, talking about your sexual preferences and expectations can help you connect with your partner(s) on a deeper level. Though that "just right" feeling may be hard to describe, getting on the same page with someone about your sexual compatibility requires some major communication.

When You Stop Looking For Love & Focus On Yourself, Here's What Could Happen, According To 9 Women

If you're a 20-something living in a big city like me, dating can feel like a near-impossible task. Are we exclusive? What does this text mean? Where is this going? There are so many questions constantly on your mind. So, it's no wonder that some people get fed up with all the intricacies of the dating world and sometimes decide they need a break. These nine women did, and in a Reddit AskWomen thread, they shared what could happen if you stop looking for love and just focus on yourself.

The end of a relationship, even if it wasn't officially a relationship, can be devastating. If you're not used to it, being single can seem like a terrible thing at first. You may not be able to stop thinking about a little inside joke you shared with your former partner, and miss the midday texts you got from them at work. Maybe they gave you a kiss every time you woke up together, and now, only a shrill sound of an alarm clock creates a void you can't fill. You may be swiping endlessly on multiple dating apps trying to find someone to be with so you can get those moments back. But being single doesn't have to be so gloomy and grim. In fact, it may bring about a lot of opportunities you otherwise wouldn't have had.

20 Best Romance Novels That'll Make You Swoon So Hard

$

I'll never understand why romance novels aren't always taken seriously. I get it it can be a little embarrassing to ride the subway with a salacious-looking book cover on display. But that doesn't mean the story behind those ripping bodices and rippled abdominals isn't worthwhile (and sometimes, a totally erotic story is hidden behind a seemingly nondescript cover). Deciding what makes for the best romance novels is subjective, but for me, a romance novel's merit isn't necessarily qualified by its quantity of sex scenes. I love hot-and-heavy content as much as the next person, but I personally think a great romance is about more than just titillation.

From sci-fi to historical fiction to horror, romance can be found in nearly any genre. Maybe you're into BDSM and role-play. Maybe you're into sexy, sensual love affairs. There's something about reading a romance that's so much more intimate than watching it play out on a screen, and the best romance novels will leave you feeling more hot and bothered than even the most erotic movies. I've rounded up some of the best romance novels of all time, and these books all prove that romance is more inclusive and captivating than most people give it credit.

'Call Me By Your Name' by Andr Aciman

Call Me By Your Name by Andr Aciman
Amazon

Believe what you want, but in my opinion, the book is even sexier than the movie (which is pretty darn sexy). Andr Acimen's novel tells the story of 17-year-old Elio and the handsome young doctoral student who spends his summer with Elio's family in their 17th-century Italian villa. Love blossoms, Elio's sexuality is awakened, and after reading this, you'll want to book a trip to Italy ASAP. And you'll never look at peaches the same way again.

'The Pisces' by Melissa Broder

The Pisces by Melissa Broder

You have every right to be skeptical of this one, but hear me out: Mermen are sexy. Melissa Broder's erotic novel revolves around Lucy, a Ph.D candidate spending her summer in solitude after a bad breakup. While putting off her Sappho dissertation and moping around Venice Beach, Lucy meets the man of her dreams who just so happens to be part-fish. The Pisces is super dark, incredibly funny, and undeniably hot.

'Tipping The Velvet' by Sarah Waters

Tipping the Velvet by Sarah Waters
Amazon

Sarah Waters' bestselling debut novel is set in 1890s England, following 18-year-old Nan as she falls deeply and dangerously in love with a male impersonator named Kitty and sacrifices everything to tour with the music hall phenomenon. Nan and Waters both work to expose the hidden yet vibrant lesbian presence in Victorian London, and considering that the title is a euphemism for cunnilingus, it should be no surprise that this novel contains plenty of it.

Is the first romance between an endearing economist on the spectrum and a male escort? Probably not. But should it be the last? Definitely not. Though Michael the escort enters his arrangement with Stella with the intention of keeping their relationship professional (or as professional as a purely physical relationship can be), it doesn't take long before business and pleasure mix. The result: an incredibly hot experience for both Stella and the reader.

'A Sport & A Pastime' by James Salter

A Sport and a Pastime by James Salter
Amazon

Set in France in the early 1960s, this 1967 novel is brief, tense, and wildly erotic. While the love affair between an American, middle-class college drop-out and a young French woman isn't all that unusual, it's the voyeuristic and totally unreliable narrator who makes this novel so interesting. Through the unnamed narrator's eyes, the reader sees the affair play out though as the narrator mixes observation with his own fantasies, it's hard to know what's real and what's invented erotica.

'The Argonauts' by Maggie Nelson

The Argonauts by Maggie Nelson

This one-of-a-kind book is a mix of genre-bending memoir and gorgeous love affair, revolving around Maggie Nelson's romantic relationship with gender-fluid artist Harry Dodge. Together, Maggie and Harry navigate the thrills and challenges of sex, pregnancy, and queer family-making in a love story that is as swoon-worthy as it is sexy.

'Outlander' by Diana Gabaldon

Outlander by Diana Gabaldon

Before it became a sexy historical time travel series on Starz, Outlander was a bestselling book series mixing historical fiction, science fiction, fantasy, and lots of hot men in kilts. Following the story of a former World War II combat nurse and an 18th-century Scottish Highland warrior, the series contains even more sex scenes than the show (if you can believe it) that toss traditional romantic tropes out the window. Hooray for female provocateurs!

'Open Me' by Lisa Locascio

Despite telling the story of an 18-year-old American exchange student and the sexy 28-year-old Dutch man who seduces her, you won't find any fetishization of female youth in this debut novel. It's a delight to follow the unfolding romance between Roxana and Sren, but what's really satisfying is Roxana's refusal to be victimized. After all, she has physical needs and pleasures, too, and despite her relative sexual inexperience, she recognizes her power and takes pride in her right to sexual satisfaction.

Fun fact: Anas Nin was an OG erotica provider. In this 15-story collection published posthumously and written for a private client during the 1940s Nin combines literature with the pornographic for her series of sex-positive and distinctly feminist stories. These Tweets About Trump's "Nothing To Do With Me" Comment Roast The President

In 2019, no one is safe from being roasted on the Internet even the president. On Monday, Sept. 9, President Donald Trump caught the attention of Twitter when he penned a tweet in response to recent controversy surrounding the U.S. Air Force. So, to begin your week, check out these tweets about Trump's "nothing to do with me" comment and get ready to chuckle.

On Monday, Sept. 9, President Donald Trump took to Twitter to address recent controversy surrounding the U.S. Air Force reportedly staying overnight at his luxury golf resort Turnberry in Scotland. The White House did not respond to Elite Daily's request for comment on the matter. In the tweet, Trump dismissed any knowledge of the Air Force staying at his properties, and also wrote that he doesn't own the Air Force plane or airport where they landed. Although it's unclear what exactly he denied owning, it was his final sentence that was the true pice de rsistance. Trump finished the tweet with an all-caps statement that read: "Nothing to do with me." The tweet read,

I know nothing about an Air Force plane landing at an airport (which I do not own and have nothing to do with) near Turnberry Resort (which I do own) in Scotland, and filling up with fuel, with the crew staying overnight at Turnberry (they have good taste!). NOTHING TO DO WITH ME.

Elite Daily reached out to the White House for comment on Trump's tweet, but did not hear back in time for publication.

Despite the tweet being unclear, Twitter couldn't get over Trump's "Nothing to do with me" comment. So naturally, people were ready at their keyboards.

On Sunday, Sept. 8, the U.S. Air Force ordered a review of overnight accommodations for soldiers and personnel following a Friday, Sept. 6 report from Politico which revealed that an Air National Guard crew made a stop to Trump's Turnberry resort while delivering supplies to Kuwait in early spring 2019. Per the report, crew members stayed at the Trump resort overnight, despite the fact that the resort was miles away from the Glasgow airport where the plane landed. Politico also notes that the location "lacked a U.S. base," and Lakenheath Air Base in nearby England would likely have been a more convenient location. In a statement to Politico, Brig. Gen. Ed Thomas said that the crew "used the closest available and least expensive accommodations to the airfield within the crews allowable hotel rates." The statement continued,

While we are still reviewing the trip records, we have found nothing that falls outside the guidelines associated with selecting stopover airports on travel routes and hotel accommodations for crew rest.

The Air Force did not immediately respond to Elite Daily's request for comment on the report.

According to Politico, the House Oversight Committee has been investigating this overnight stay since April 2019. However, that's not all they're interested in. For months, the House Oversight Committee has been looking into whether military spending has been benefitting Trump properties such as Turnberry, and whether this proves to be a conflict of interest for the president. The investigation is being lead by House Oversight Committee Chairman Elijah Cummings and Democratic Rep. Jamie Raskin of Maryland. The White House did not immediately respond to Elite Daily's request for comment on the reported investigation.

Trump stepped down as the official leader of the Trump Organization in January 2017, just as he was sworn in as president, and handed oversight of the business down to his sons Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump as executive vice presidents. However, he did not divest from his business interests as previous presidents have done. The New York Times has previously reported that the president still makes a profit from his properties, which has been a subject of controversy among critics. Elite Daily previously reached out to the White House and Trump Organization for comment, but did not hear back.

Despite this apparently having "nothing to do with him," I doubt this will be the last Trump hears about this controversy. Perhaps the president should take in a round of golf or two.

These Fall 2019 Hairstyle Trends For Short Hair Will Help You Get Out Of Your Styling Rut For Good

PSA, I just got a haircut, and now my hair feels so short OK, maybe it's not *technically* short hair, but it's short for me! Whether you're adjusting to a new style or have been living the short hair life for ages, these fall 2019 hairstyle trends for short hair are all must-try looks guaranteed to slay. Whether you're looking for inspo for an updo, a new way to create texture and movement, or just an excuse to buy more hair accessories, the following four are just a handful of styles that will no doubt have you receiving compliments all autumn long.

Pony Up

When it comes to hairstylists I trust, Linda de Zeeuw, Master Stylist at the gorgeous Rob Peetoom Salon in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, is at the top of the list. "Some women think that short hair can only be styled in one way, but thats far from the truth," says de Zeeuw, "For instance, the pony on Bella Hadid and Kylie Jenner." ICYMI, she's talking about that bouncy retro pony both stars recently posted on the 'Gram.

If your hair is lob-length, you can definitely achieve this pony on your own, and if you've got more of a true bob, a clip-in ponytail extension is key:

No matter how long the actual pony is, the key to nailing the style is to ensure the ends are flipped inward for a perfectly polished finish:

Play With Texture

This summer saw a lot of sleek, straight strands, and de Zeeuw says fall will be more about embracing tousled textures and creating movement. "You can add some texture to your hair, like messy waves or crimping, using hot tools and a dry texturizer to finish the look," says de Zeeuw.

These edgy waves on Emma Roberts are at the top of my Must Try At Home list:

I also love how Amandla Stenberg added some oomph to this style by flipping their ends up instead of letting them hang straight:

Half & Half

De Zeeuw loves a good updo, but she says this fall, the half-up hairstyles will be the ones to watch. "You can create half updo's like space buns, messy buns on top, or braids on one side," she suggests, noting that the more creative, the better. "Short hair can also work in a full updo, just make sure you create a secure base by backcombing the roots of the hair, and pinning the hair up in small sections," she explains.

Cardi B's bantu knots moment at the Hustlers premiere proves just how show-stopping the right half-up style can be:

Dress It Up

You guessed it all those clips, pins, and barrettes you bought this summer are still trendy for fall, and as someone who loves using them to mask greasy, need-to-be-washed strands, I can honestly say I hope this look never fades out! "Play around with hair accessories to create your own unique look," advises de Zeeuw, who says that fall's take on the trend really ups the ante. Headbands, hats, and of course, the blingiest pins you can find. More is more, people!

Bebe Rexha's black clips are simple, but the amount and contrast of the black on her blonde hair help make a huge statement:

Halsey also makes a case for rocking hats this season, aka the easiest hair accessories of all. Her Play Nice beret is so chic:

Let the above styles be all the inspo you need to get out there and serve some seriously fierce short hair looks this season. Enjoy!

There are likely a lot of little things your partner does to let you know they're thinking about you. When Will The 'Bachelor In Paradise' Season 6 Reunion Air? Fans Need Answers

It's been a whirlwind summer on Bachelor in Paradise Season 6. For six weeks, countless couples got together, broke up, and then got together again. Exes showed up unannounced and love triangles became love hexagons. There was a whole lot of drama this season, so much that it was almost hard to keep track of it all, and even the most diehard fans in Bachelor Nation are probably looking for a chance to reflect on everything that went down. Luckily, audiences will get the chance to rehash this season with the reunion special. But when will the Bachelor in Paradise Season 6 reunion air? Fans will hopefully get all the answers they need very soon.

This season of Bachelor in Paradise ends on Tuesday, Sept. 10. But just because the season is over, that doesn't mean the relationship drama stops too. In fact, the reunion shows for all the Bachelor franchise series usually offer audiences a whole lot of updates on all their favorite contestants. So, the Bachelor in Paradise Season 6 reunion will likely help wrap up the many, many stories that happened this past season.

Bachelor in Paradise has aired on Monday and Tuesday nights this summer, so fans have been expecting the reunion to occur on one of those days. A glance at the ABC schedule seems to confirm this theory: After Week 6 of Paradise, the new season of Dancing with the Stars premieres Monday, Sept. 16. Then, Bachelor in Paradise reappears on the schedule the following night, which leads viewers to expect the reunion special to air on Tuesday, Sept. 17.

There's always a fair amount of off-screen drama in the Bachelor franchise, and this season of Bachelor in Paradise may have had more than any other season before. Right from the start of the season, Blake Horstmann brought a whole lot of drama to the resort. He had multiple relationships with Bachelor alums before filming, with a few apparently overlapping at the Stagecoach music festival in the spring. Of course, that all happened off-screen, and host Chris Harrison has talked about how there's a lot of off-camera action that happens both before and after the season airs. That all means the producers need to set aside time to go over everything in the reunion special. Harrison told The Hollywood Reporter:

We always have a reunion and a finale special already on the schedule, because so much happens during Paradise and there are so many relationships that you have to go back and catch everyone up. What happened after Mexico? How have these couples been doing? Who is together and who is broken up? Paradise especially, you have to have that after-show. Its interesting now how these stories bleed into the show.

The Bachelor in Paradise reunion episodes for previous seasons have proven to extend the drama beyond the season finale. Last year's reunion gave fans updates on couples who broke up on the beach but got back together after filming ended, like Kevin Wendt and Astrid Loch, and Kendall Long and Joe Amabile. So even if it seems like a relationship is over during the Bachelor in Paradise Season 6 finale, fans might see more to the story when the reunion airs next week.

Season 6 of Bachelor in Paradise continues Monday, Sept. 9 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.

Are Caelynn & Dean Dating After 'Bachelor In Paradise'? They Left The Show Together

Second chances are definitely possible in Bachelor Nation, but Bachelor in Paradise contestant Caelynn Miller-Keyes probably wasn't expecting Dean Unglert to take advantage of these loose rules. A clean-shaven Dean returned to the beach to ask Caelynn to leave with him, so now fans are wondering: Are Caelynn and Dean dating after Bachelor in Paradise? After doubting their bond, Caelynn agreed to leave the show with him.

Sweeping Caelynn off her feet after she confronted Blake Horstmann about their hookup history, Dean's rocky history in Paradise made Caelynn wary. When he appeared on Season 4, he created a messy love triangle with Danielle Lombard and fellow Season 6 returnee Kristina Schulman, dragging both women along before trying to pursue both of them after filming wrapped. Following a short-lived relationship with Bachelor Winter Games' Lesley Murphy, Dean seemed to come with warning bells upon his return to Paradise.

Regardless of his past, Dean's nomadic life in a van intrigued Caelynn. Although she knew he was capable of hurting her, she grew closer with him, wanting some kind of reassurance about their future together. But Dean wouldn't budge when Caelynn prodded him for more details about their relationship outside of Paradise. "I think you'd be miserable as my girlfriend," he told her.

Although she worried if she should call things off, Caelynn remained in her Paradise pairing. However, after giving her a rose during an elimination ceremony (which also happened to take place on Caelynn's birthday), Dean took her aside. "I didn't expect to have an actual, real connection with someone," he told her. "But you know my weird history with this ... I know I won't be able to get to where you need me to be at the end of this."

Bachelor Nation on ABC on YouTube

Dean's departure sent a heartbroken Caelynn toward new arrival Connor Saeli, but not long after he left, Dean returned to the beach, and his proposition upon returning sparked Caelynn's curiosity. "I knew I needed to come here and tell you I wanted us to try and be in a relationship," he explained. "I came here to ask you if you would leave Paradise with me today."

Caelynn was clearly torn. "There's an easy choice here and a difficult choice," she said before taking Connor aside.

Her new man was convinced Dean's actions didn't prove he was ready to settle down. "What happens if you're actually together and things get tough?" Connor asked. "Is he going to leave like he did before? I think leaving before shows the person he is and I don't think he's changed."

Connor thought the decision was obvious, but Caelynn was still struggling. She called Dean out on talking about his struggles as a boyfriend, but Dean knew how to respond. "I don't think I'll improve on those issues unless I stand up and take them head on," Dean said. "I wouldn't waste my time in coming back and pursuing something that I didn't think was worth pursuing."

"I know the decision I want to make, I'm just scared," Caelynn said. "I'm scared of getting hurt again ... I'm always trying to better myself and challenge myself and I want someone who challenges him."

"I can't tell you exactly what'll happen next, but I know I want to try," Dean said. "I want to try and I want to figure things out and I want to be with you ... You put a smile on my face every time I see you and I don't want that to stop."

Ultimately, Caelynn agreed to trying things out and take a ride in Dean's van. While Connor was left blindsided, Caelynn was ready for her new adventure. She left the beach with Dean, admitting she wasn't sure if she was making the right decision but still smiling. Like a good mutual ex, Kristina offered to come to her aid if Dean hurt her, which was a nice moment for the two women who have been at odds this season.

Despite Connor's apparent pain and Kristina's seemingly ominous words, Dean and Caelynn seemed comfortable with each other as they left the beach. "It wasn't easy to get here, but we got here and that's all that matters," Dean said in his exit car with Caelynn.

They might have ridden off into the sunset together, but fans will have to wait and see if Caelynn and Dean have made it in the real world in Sept. 17's reunion special. Anyone following Caelynn's social media already has a strong hint that the two are still together. Following the airing of the reunion, the former beauty queen posted a series of Paradise screenshots of herself and Dean on Instagram, writing, "They say you dont know a good thing till its gone... I think its time to bring the mustache back."

Season 6 of Bachelor in Paradise continues at 8 p.m. ET on Tuesday, Sept. 10, on ABC.

This Disneyland Halloween Treats 2019 Roundup Is Tasty & Boo-tiful For The 'Gram

Someone cue the Nightmare Before Christmas music, because "this is Halloween," and it's time to get your spook on. Once you see that Mickey pumpkin smiling on Main Street, you know Halloween time at Disneyland is officially here. For any foodie, you also know there will be a ton of Instagrammable treats on the menu in both Disneyland and California Adventure to check out. That's why this Disneyland Halloween treats 2019 roundup couldn't come any sooner for you to start adding things to your park to-do list.

Two of my favorite things are eating delicious food and Halloween. Thankfully, my third favorite thing Disney understands that about me, and serves the most amazing sweets and savory dishes just in time for the season. If you have plans on visiting either of the parks in California from now until Oct. 31, I highly recommend saving room in your stomach for a few of these treats.

Things like churros and Mickey-shaped treats are a must for any Disneyland trip, so why not make them pumpkin spice churros or Mummy Mickey treats? The list of Halloween snacks is long, so use these 10 faves as a starting point. Just don't forget to share everything you eat with your followers on the 'Gram, because it'll really give them pumpkin to talk about.

,

1. You Can't Go Wrong With Mickey-Shaped Pumpkin Spice Beignets

Out of all the Mickey-shaped treats you could get at Disneyland, you have to taste the beignets. Trust me you won't regret these warm fluffy fried dough treats covered in powdered sugar.

The only thing that can make them even better is having them be pumpkin spice-flavored, which is exactly what they are this time of year. You can find them at the Mint Julep Bar in New Orleans Square along with a festive version of Disney's famous Mint Julep a Blackberry Midnight Julep with a lychee moon.

2. I'll Take 101 Of These Cruella Brownies, Please

Right at the end of Main Street is the Jolly Holiday Bakery Caf where you can always find tasty treats that are made for the 'Gram. This dark chocolate brownie has a white chocolate mousse to embody Cruella de Vil's white and black hair. If this doesn't pique your tastebuds, I don't know what will.

3. This Sweet Potato Hand Pie Will Have You Saying, "Pie Love It"

You'll also find this Sweet Potato Hand Pie at the Jolly Holiday Bakery Caf. I'm someone who believes that sweet potatoes and marshmallows go perfectly together like Mickey and Minnie, so you can best believe I'm in love with a sweet potato-filled treat with roasted mini marshmallows on top.

4. You'll Scream For This Ice Cream Macaron Sandwich

Over at California Adventure, you'll want to make a pit stop at Clarabelle's Hand-Scooped Ice Cream. There are a ton of ice cream treats you'll be screaming about, but this Spider Silk Macaron Sandwich will really catch you in its web.

The black macaron is served with a charcoal-tart cherry ice cream in the middle. There's also popping candy and a raspberry sauce drizzle for an especially boo-tiful presentation.

5. This Snake Eyes Sludge Is Spooky And Delish

In between all the sweet treats, stop by Sonoma Terrace for this Oogie Boogie-inspired Snake Eyes Sludge. It's an edamame hummus dip with olive tapenade made to look like bugs and dragon fruit cut out like dice. I'm ready to roll on this dish.

6. This Limeade Slush Has Grenadine And Gummy Worms

Grab this My Bugs! My Bugs! slush from Hollywood Lounge. Once again, the name is very on theme. This cute concoction is a limeade slush with grenadine drizzled in. Of course, it's topped with gummy worms just like Oogie Boogie.

7. The Candy Corn Cotton Candy Is A Must

If you combine cotton candy and candy corn, you've got me sold. This cute treat is a must to grab from any cotton candy cart and carry around as a snack to munch on throughout the day. Don't forget to get a pic of it in front of Haunted Mansion Holiday just like this snap above.

8. This Bread Pudding Won't Go Bacon Your Heart

The bread pudding at Pacific Wharf Caf is quickly becoming my new favorite thing to order, and I don't give out that title very easily. Each month, there's a new flavor to try, and you can bet I'm racing over to taste the new Maple-Bacon Bread Pudding as soon as I can.

9. These Worms And Dirt Funnel Fries Are So Fry

Funnel cake fries should already have you saying, "Yes, please," but having them be festive AF is the literal icing on top. These delicious funnel fries are topped with crushed cookie pieces, a cream cheese sauce, gummy worms, and green whipped cream. You'll have to use all your willpower to take a picture before diving in for a bite.

10. This Treat Really Rose To The Ocassion

For a treat that's literally almost too pretty to eat, there's the Black Rose Dessert at the Beauty and the Beast-themed Red Rose Taverne in Fantasyland. This black truffle mousse is made to look like a dark rosebud, but it has a raspberry compote and crunchy center. You can really notice the edible glitter on top in person.

Who Is Revian On 'Bachelor In Paradise'? She Hit The Beach Late In The Game

As a season of Bachelor in Paradise winds down, the beach's new arrivals most likely stem from a pool of contestants who didn't last very long on their original seasons. Not every Night One castoff can become a beloved Grocery Store Joe, but they can sure try. Another early-eliminated contestant has entered Season 6, so who is Revian on Bachelor in Paradise? The esthetician didn't last long on Colton Underwood's Bachelor season, but her chances of finding love may improve on the beach.

When she arrived in Mexico on Sept. 9's episode, Revian gravitated toward Connor Saeli, who was newly single after Caelynn Miller-Keyes chose to leave Paradise with former suitor Dean Unglert. Revian asked Connor out on a date, briefly curing his breakup blues. "I'm sorry for being a little down this morning," Connor said on their outing. "At the end of the day, it just shows that she's not the right one for me and it's just time to move on."

One of several women to not receive a rose on Colton's first night as Bachelor, Revian didn't leave much of an impression with viewers. However, she did film an intro package for the Bachelor premiere, and although it didn't make it into the episode's final cut, the clip sheds light on Revian's personality. "I work in the beauty industry and I'm a nurse," she told cameras, explaining her specialty as working with Botox and fillers. "I get to help people feel good on the inside as well as making them pretty on the outside."

"My parents actually got married after knowing each other for a week," Revian said in the video. "They met at an airport in China. [My dad] met my mom on a Sunday and met my grandfather on a Wednesday and they were married by the next Sunday."

Welp, it sounds like Revian wouldn't have had as many qualms about a speedy engagement as Final Rose pick Cassie Randolph did.

Bachelor Nation on ABC on YouTube

Based on her introduction, Revian was extremely open to finding love on The Bachelor, but clicking with Colton wasn't in the cards for her. Her ABC bio reads:

Revian is an esthetician from Los Angeles. When she's not helping people feel beautiful, she loves to attend music festivals. She's also fluent in Mandarin. She once flew across the country to meet a guy she met on the internet. Her favorite author is Stephen King. Travel and food are her two main passions.

Was this music festival enthusiast also at Blake Horstmann's hookup haven of Stagecoach? Her social media points toward her missing out, but according to her Instagram, she was at the 2019 Coachella festival. I guess no one told her where the real Bachelor festival hangout was this year.

At the end of their date, Revian was hopeful about receiving Connor's rose that week, but fans will have to wait and see if Connor's mood after Caelynn's exit improves enough for him to pursue Revian. For Revian's sake, here's hoping he's interested. After all, did you really compete on the Bachelor franchise if you never received a rose?

Season 6 of Bachelor in Paradise continues at 8 p.m. ET on Tuesday, Sept. 10, on ABC.

Demi's Quotes About PDA On 'Bachelor In Paradise' Reveal Her Struggles

Demi Burnett and Kristian Haggerty have made Bachelor Nation history as the first same-sex couple in the Bachelor franchise. They provide a positive example of queer relationship, but that doesn't mean their love story doesn't have its own struggles. During Week 6, Demi opened up to Kristian about the parts of their relationship that are difficult for her, and Demi's quotes about PDA on Bachelor in Paradise gave way to a super-meaningful conversation between the two of them.

Ever since Kristian arrived in Mexico to join Demi, the two of them have been pretty inseparable. But even though they've been spending a lot of time together, their Paradise experience hasn't been entirely perfect. On the Sept. 9 episode, Demi explained that she has trouble being affectionate with Kristian in public because she was uncomfortable with it. She said:

I hate that my brain works that way, but I'm scared. It has everything to do with me being comfortable being gay in front of people. It's scary... I wish that I could just tell myself, 'It doesn't matter what they think.' I just feel all this pressure.

Demi made some really pertinent points about what it means to be in a queer relationship in public. If you're in a same-sex relationship, in a way, you have to come out to the world each time you show any public displays of affection. A lot of fans on Twitter expressed their support of Demi and said that they could relate to her experience.

Demi expressed worry that Kristian was flirting with other women in Paradise because she wasn't receiving enough physical affection from Demi. Concerned she wouldn't be able to get over her anxiety before it was too late for their relationship, Demi said, "I feel like I'm going to take so long, and she's going to be over it."

Luckily, instead of holding in her worries, Demi had an open and honest conversation about them with Kristian. Demi explained that she's not a very physical person to start with, and that it was hard for her to see Kristian be touchy-feely with their friends at the resort. Kristian assured her she has no romantic or sexual feelings for anyone but Demi, but the latter was still upset. Demi explained, "I'm scared of all of this, obviously. I see you getting more physical touch from someone else, innocently, playfully. I feel like I'm not enough."

Kristian assured Demi that she's not going to lose her, no matter what her anxieties are. "I'm totally OK with working towards whatever speed you're at," she said. "That doesn't change how I feel."

Kristian went on to comfort Demi more, saying, "You make me so happy and I'm going to make efforts to make you more comfortable in all scenarios. You are my priority."

Demi and Kristian ended the conversation by embracing and saying "I love you" to each other, giving Bachelor Nation a beautiful showing of a supportive and communicative relationship. Since Demi's struggles are actually pretty common for many people, it's really inspiring to see her and Kristian provide an example of how to work through them.

Season 6 of Bachelor in Paradise continues Tuesday, Sept. 10, at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.

These Tweets About John Paul Jones & Tayshia's 'Bachelor In Paradise' Prom Are Sweet

$

Sometimes Bachelor in Paradise can feel a lot like high school. After all, both situations bring a bunch of different people together in close quarters, making both situations perfectly primed for gossip, drama, and crushes. It was only a matter of time before the Bachelor franchise gave its contestants a taste of a real high school experience, and that's what happened in the Sept. 9 episode, when John Paul Jones decided to invite Tayshia Adams to "Paradise Prom." These tweets about John Paul Jones and Tayshia's Bachelor in Paradise prom are so sweet.

JPJ and Tayshia have had their fair share of ups and downs this season, especially thanks to JPJ's drama with the third point of their former love triangle, Derek Peth. However, after Tayshia broke up with Derek, JPJ recommitted himself to making his devotion to Tayshia very clear. So, after Tayshia told him she never went to her real high school prom, he decided to take matters into his own hands and give her a prom in Mexico.

JPJ went all out to give Tayshia the full prom experience. They both dressed up in formal wear, and JPJ "picked her up" for the date. He took her to a secluded spot set up with balloons spelling out the word "prom," a punch bowl, and a camera for a makeshift photo booth. In short, it was everything you could want from a school dance, plus a Mexican resort and the ability to legally drink alcohol.

It was all a super romantic gesture from JPJ, and Bachelor in Paradise fans got pretty excited about it on Twitter.

Prom isn't complete without a prom king and queen, so of course Paradise Prom needed its own royalty. JPJ gave Tayshia a plastic crown and told her she was the most beautiful person in Paradise. He said, "I therefore crown you the queen of Paradise Prom! JPJ also crowned himself the "king of Paradise" and had a pretty good time shouting that all over the beach.

JPJ and Tayshia were then serenaded by a saxophone player, and they invited the rest of Paradise to join them on the dance floor. But of course, not everybody got to go to Paradise Prom with someone special. Wells Adams took a break from his bartending duties to step onto the dance floor. Since he didn't have a date, he just danced alone. (His fiance Sarah Hyland probably got a big laugh out of this, TBH.)

The Paradise Prom may have helped to strengthen JPJ and Tayshia's relationship, at least from his side of things. "I came into his open to love. I didnt expect it, but love is knocking on my door," he said after the big night. "Im definitely falling in love with Tayshia. Ive found something great and something real, something that could last a lifetime.

Tayshia seemed pretty smitten by the whole prom experience, but only time will tell if it was enough for JPJ to totally win her heart.

Season 6 of Bachelor in Paradise continues Tuesday, Sept. 10, at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.

Kristina & Blake's Breakup On 'Bachelor In Paradise' Was So Tough To Watch

Season 6 of Bachelor in Paradise has brought unexpected reunions to the beach, and while it started off bumpy, Blake Horstmann and Kristina Schulman's relationship became redemptive. Sadly, Kristina couldn't see her feelings progressing like Blake's apparently had, and she had to end things in the Sept. 9 episode. Kristina and Blake's breakup on Bachelor in Paradise was tough for Bachelor Nation to watch, so how did it go down?

After dating in real life for several months, Kristina arrived in Paradise seemingly determined to ruin Blake's mood. In case you missed it, she hooked up with Blake at the Stagecoach music festival only for him to do the same with Caelynn Miller-Keyes within 24 hours. She called him out early on in Season 6 for disrespecting her by doing that, but as Blake recovered from the fallout of his pre-filming dalliances being brought up on the beach, Kristina began to warm up to the idea of supporting him again.

The two exes initially agreed to exchange "friendship" roses with each other during the rose ceremonies, but Kristina's closeness with Blake ended up interfering with his budding relationships. After Blake chose Kristina over his newer love interest Caitlin Clemmens, he started to realize his feelings for his former flame might not have died down. Despite Kristina's reluctance, Blake began pursuing her, claiming he was totally on board for a relationship with her.

Kristina didn't exactly agree with Blake's take on their bond, but she didn't shut him down either. However, as the season progressed and potential proposals approached, it became clear her feelings were far behind Blake's burgeoning ones. Saying they couldn't deny how they felt about each other anymore, Blake created a makeshift date card for Kristina, writing, "I know we can't go back in time, but tonight we can make up for it."

Taking her to a private, romantic spot, Blake was optimistic about his future with Kristina, telling cameras, "A couple weeks ago, I was so down... but it feels good to think all that was the trials and tribulations that led me here."

Meanwhile, Kristina realized she couldn't keep him on her hook much longer. "I feel guilty," she told him. "I don't think I'll be able to get where I need to get with you ... It would have been very misleading of me to continue with these dates ... I literally came to Paradise wanting you to find love. I didn't think you'd be coming my way."

Knowing she couldn't progress with Blake, Kristina left the beach, while a blindsided Blake wallowed about always leaving a Bachelor-related show heartbroken. The former Bachelorette runner-up tearfully said, "How could I be this wrong every time? ... She just didn't want me. I wasn't enough."

Left without any other romantic options, Blake also left Paradise. As his exit aired, he took to Instagram with his thoughts, writing, "To say paradise was rough for me is an understatement. I have no one to blame but myself for that. Its not easy putting yourself and all of your mistakes out there for the world to see ... I hope that this is not the end of my story and I can look back at this summer and be grateful for the lessons learned and the friends made."

Anyone ought to feel a little shaken after seeing their own emotional departure play out on TV, but here's hoping Blake and Kristina are both in a good place when fans see them on Sept. 17's Paradise reunion special. Season 6 of Bachelor in Paradise continues at 8 p.m. ET on Tuesday, Sept. 10, on ABC.

How Much Will Apple TV+ Cost? The New Service Has A Lot To Offer

$
0
0

Apple is just weeks away from entering the streaming television game, and at the company's keynote address on Tuesday, Sept. 10, viewers finally got the answer to one of the biggest questions about Apple TV+. The tech giant's new streaming service finally has an official price, and it might be a surprising number to some people. So, how much will Apple TV+ cost you? The new service will actually be cheaper than Netflix and Hulu.

Once Apple TV+ becomes available on Nov. 1, anyone will be able to buy a subscription to the streaming service for just $4.99 per month. The low price point will make Apple TV+ the cheapest major streaming service on the market once it debuts, undercutting its major competitors like Netflix (which costs $12.99 per month), Hulu ($7.99 per month), and Amazon Prime Video ($8.99 per month). The unexpectedly low price also undercuts the Disney's upcoming streaming service Disney+ by two dollars, since Disney+ will charge $6.99 per month.

As if that wasn't enough, Apple also announced that its streaming service has an even better deal for loyal customers. Anyone who buys a new Apple device will get a full year of Apple TV+ for free. Basically, it sounds like Apple TV+ is definitely going to be the most affordable streaming option of them all.

Of course, the next question you are probably asking is what that $4.99 per month will get you. Well, Apple has already announced a bunch of exciting new original shows that are slated to premiere after Apple TV+ drops on Nov. 1. Definitely the buzziest of these fast-approaching series is The Morning Show, which stars Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon, and Steve Carell as TV journalists vying for power on a morning news program. The trailer for the show promises that it will be a cutthroat joyride.

Apple TV on YouTube

Another exciting new series that will premiere the day that Apple TV+ drops is Dickinson, starring Hailee Steinfeld. The upcoming series will put a comedic and undeniably 21st century twist on Emily Dickinson's youth, as Steinfeld's bombastic portrayal of the iconic poet challenges the sepia-toned lens through which we tend to view historical figures. Check out the Dickinson trailer for yourself below.

Apple TV on YouTube

Other new shows that are expected to premiere immediately after Apple TV+ include the alternate history sci-fi drama For All Mankind, Rob McElhenney and Charlie Day's video game development studio sitcom Mythic Quest, the Octavia Spencer and Lizzy Caplan-fronted legal drama Truth Be Told, and the animated series Peanuts in Space.

And those are just the new shows that are premiering on Apple TV+ this fall. The new service has also announced a ton of other new original series that will premiere in the future. Some of the standouts include the Chris Evans-fronted crime drama Defending Jacob, Jason Momoa's futuristic sci-fi series See, and Steven Spielberg's new version of his 1985 anthology series Amazing Stories.

Clearly, there is a lot to get excited for with Apple TV+, and the streaming service is about to debut in just a matter of days. You can sign up for Apple TV+ for $4.99 when it becomes available on Nov. 1.

Fair. Loyal. Intellectual. Creative.

Have I piqued your interest yet? If so, I'm here to tell you all the things you need to know before you date a Libra, so strap in for potentially the most exciting, romantic ride of your life. Elite Daily spoke with astrology experts to get the scoop on courting a Libra.

The Libra's sign is the scale, which symbolizes balance. The Libra is ruled by Venus, the planet of love and beauty. According to pop culture astrologer Kyle Thomas, Astrologically, [the] Libra is extremely connected to the air/fire signs (Aquarius, Gemini, Aries, Sagittarius, Leo), he says. This is because they are extroverted signs and crave stimulation, mental connection, and like spontaneity. There is an intuitive flow and often a match of interests and lifestyles.

Libras seek peace and harmony in every aspect of life. When it comes to relationships, they may be drawn to some drama in order for things to not get stale, according to Thomas, but they wholeheartedly value romance and love discovering what makes their partner tick.

Needless to say, the lovely Libra really has it all, and there are more than a few things you should know about the Libra before dating them.

1. A Libra is a hopeless romantic.

A Libra may have dealt with their fair share of romantic disappointments just like everyone else, but they dont let that stop them from being a hopeless romantic and believing in a fairy tale ending. According to Christa Westaway, House of Intuitions reader and practicing astrologer, Although Libra is an air sign, which means it governs intellect and the mind, its Venus-ruled. Venus rules love and pleasure.

2. A Libra is observant.

According to Thomas, A Libra is perceptive. They naturally know how to read people and are very good at pleasing [someone elses] needs. The Libra has a deep understanding of the ways of the world and knows how to reach out to many people. This can make them nurturing in love.

3. A Libra is balanced.

Not only does the Libra try their best to maintain balance in their own life, but they want stability in their loved one's life as well. A Libra craves balance, and while they may at times struggle with it, it is one of their karmic lessons in this lifetime. They will often give of themselves rather than take in order to create more balance in partnerships, says Thomas.

4. A Libra knows how to turn on the charm.

Thomas refers to the Libra as one of the most charming zodiac signs of all. Libras love to be courted and arent ones to settle. (If you're lucky enough to be a Libras date, be sure to have red roses and dinner ready by candlelight.)

According to Thomas article entitled Love And Sex With Libra, Libras [want] to live a romance that is worthy to be talked about because this sign is known for their natural ability to be likable and popular: able to shift and blend in with any surrounding yet always bring a special elegance to stand out from the crowd.

5. A Libra is a giver.

Thomas says Libras are givers. They may tend to put the needs of others before their own. From being there for their best friends to not canceling on a date, they respect everyone's time.

According to Westaway, Even if our Venusian Libras are prone to people pleasing, their charm, intelligence, and sweetness towards those they love and respect draw in those who seek empathy.

6. A Libra is everyone's friend.

You wont find a Libra trying to make enemies. Not wanting to tip the scale too much in one direction, the Libra befriends everyone. [A Libras] ability to be harmonious and generous towards others gains them popularity within their social groups and in attracting new relationships, Westaway tells Elite Daily.

7. A Libra has a good time on the couch and on the town.

The Libra is attracted to liveliness and laughter, and they live their best life in the company of someone who cares about them. But you can just as easily find them curled up with a good book on the couch as you can at the bar.
