Kate and Prince William escorted Charlotte and George to their first day of school at Thomas's Battersea School in London, where Charlote now attends with older brother George. For the school drop-off, Kate wore a red floral long sleeve dress that was belted with a black belt at the waist. She paired the dress with black heels, and of course, her new hair hue.

Could Kate's progression to her new blonde shade mean that she'll eventually go full-on platinum? While it's unlikely, it's not impossible. Over the years we've seen the Duchess rock a range of hair colors from dark chocolatey brown, auburn, a light brown with subtle blonde highlights, and now a full-on honey blonde look.

Joey Wheeler of Richard Ward Hair, a salon in Chelsea, was the stylist behind the haircut that lead to donating to Little Princess Trust. In fact, according to The Sunday Express Joey was the one who actually convinced Kate that it was time to cut her hair, because according to him, it was just getting too long. So out came the haircut which was then donated to be made into a wig.

Regardless of length, color, or style, Kate's hair is always guaranteed to look fabulous. I'm excited to see whether or not the Duchess chooses to go even lighter as the weather gets colder, or if she will revert back to the dark side.

The latest season of The Bachelorette was a mess, but I think most people can agree on two things: Hannah Brown should have chosen Tyler Cameron over Jed Wyatt, and Mike Johnson should have lasted way longer than he did. Though it's not looking like Johnson is going to be the next Bachelor, there is someone who's been rooting for him since the very beginning: Demi Lovato. As it turns out, that affection might be mutual. Mike Johnson's comment on Demi Lovato's bikini Instagram is super flirty (and proof that there's nothing wrong with being confident).

Lovato named Johnson as her top pick early on in Brown's season of The Bachelorette. In an Instagram Story showing the scene where Johnson called out Luke Parker for claiming to love Brown after the first group date, Lovato could be heard in the background saying, "He should win," in reference to Johnson. When Johnson did not receive a rose later in the season, Lovato again included the scene in an Insta Story along with her commentary. "Swing me, kiss me! Boo boo," she gushed. After Johnson was sent home, he posted a tweet on July 1 making it clear that he was still on the hunt for love. Where u hiding." Fans were quick to point out that his dream woman was ready and waiting for him as was Lovato herself. The clips also highlight couples Dylan Barbour and Hannah Godwin, Katie Morton and Chris Bukowski, Nicole Lopez-Alvar and Clay Harbor, and Demi Burnett and Kristian Haggerty. Compared to John Paul Jones and Tayshia, these other pairs have been more stable together, but the teaser hints at trouble brewing for some of them. Will JPJ and Tayshia grow stronger as others falter?

The preview also offers a glimpse at some of the newly engaged women's rings, and one of the bejeweled hands featured in the promo looks like it could belong to Tayshia. Perhaps JPJ proposes by painting a vision of a life with chicken nugget feasts and children with weak stomachs.

But on the other hand, the preview also shows Tayshia crying with one of the women, and in another fleeting scene, she runs toward John Paul Jones and says she's sorry. Judging by these hints, Tayshia and JPJ still have a bumpy road ahead of them, but a proposal doesn't sound too far-fetched for this unexpected couple. Stranger things have happened within the Bachelor franchise, but seeing John Paul Jones down on one knee would definitely be one of the odder sights in Paradise history.

After hitting the Bahamas on Sept. 1, where it caused severe damage and killed dozens of people, Hurricane Dorian made landfall in North Carolina on Sept. 6 as a Category 1 hurricane. It is expected to continue to work its way north, according to updates from the National Hurricane Center but not according to President Donald Trump, who is continuing to insist that the hurricane was predicted to hit parts of Alabama. Despite these claims being routinely debunked by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Donald Trump's tweets about Alabama and Hurricane Dorian just won't let it go.

On Sept. 1, Trump tweeted that "in addition to Florida South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, and Alabama, will most likely be hit (much) harder than anticipated." Just 20 minutes after the president tweeted that claim, the Birmingham, Alabama Twitter account for the NOAA's National Weather Service predicted the opposite.

"Alabama will NOT see any impacts from #Dorian," the NWS tweeted. "We repeat, no impacts from Hurricane #Dorian will be felt across Alabama. The system will remain too far east."

The NOAA's forecasts didn't stop the president from doubling down on his claims about Alabama and Dorian, however. Later that same day, Trump told reporters that "Alabama is going to get a piece of" Dorian, and he repeated this claim during a Hurricane Dorian briefing at the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) headquarters. Throughout the day, Trump suggested that his claims were supported by new information. However, while NOAA forecasts from previous days briefly indicated that a tiny part of southeastern Alabama could be impacted by Dorian's winds, forecasts from Sept. 1 showed the storm moving north instead away from Alabama.

Despite updated forecasts contradicting the president's claims, he spent the rest of the week continuing to argue that hurricane conditions could impact Alabama. On Sept. 4, Trump displayed a NOAA forecast map of Hurricane Dorian in the Oval Office. The map was from Aug. 29, however, and quickly went viral because it appeared to have been modified with a black Sharpie. The map that Trump displayed had a think black line on it that extended the hurricane's projected path into Alabama. NOAA's original map did not contain such a line, per The New York Times. When a reporter asked him if the map had been doctored with a Sharpie, Trump said he didn't know and quickly proceeded to the next question.

Later that day, Trump tweeted a map from the South Florida Water Management District, CNN reported a map called a "spaghetti model" that contained data about the storm but that wasn't an actual forecast. Trump argued that the map proved Dorian was originally supposed to hit Alabama. However, the map was from Aug. 28 before Trump made his Sept. 1 comments about the storm potentially impacting Alabama and it wasn't from the NOAA's National Hurricane Center. On Sept. 5, the South Florida Water Management Center reportedly told CNN in a statement that it produces hundreds of spaghetti models per day and constantly updates them.

All of this information was still not enough to stop Trump from honing in on Alabama. Throughout the day on Sept. 5, Trump routinely tweeted that the "Fake News Media" was trying to catch him in a mistake, posting multiple tweets doubling down on the point.

"Alabama was going to be hit or grazed, and then Hurricane Dorian took a different path (up along the East Coast)," Trump tweeted at one point. "The Fake News knows this very well. Thats why theyre the Fake News!"

Trump even reportedly went so far as to call Fox News Senior White House Correspondent John Roberts into the Oval Office, in order to make the case that he hadn't been mistaken about Alabama. That same day, Trump's homeland security adviser Coast Guard Rear Adm. Peter Brown released a statement via the White House saying that Trump's Sept. 1 comments followed a briefing from Brown.

"The President's comments were based on that morning's Hurricane Dorian briefing, which included the possibility of tropical storm force winds in southeastern Alabama," the statement read, per Business Insider. An unnamed White House source reportedly told CNN that Trump had personally asked Brown to make that statement. The White House did not immediately respond to Elite Daily' request for comment on the subject of Trump's reported call to Roberts, or the reported request to Brown.

When Trump first made comments about Alabama and Dorian on Sept. 1, there were no NOAA forecasts to support his claims, though the president continues to insist that "initial" forecasts backed him up. It isn't the first time that Trump hasn't been keen to admit a mistake but a mistake about where a hurricane will hit could be pretty serious.

With the advent of fall comes the run-up to awards season. For most, that period starts in January and February when the movie-level awards are given out. But for TV, awards season begins far earlier, with the Emmys landing well before the rest. The Primetime Emmy Awards are a middle of September affair. That means post-Labor Day, it's a scramble to see, be seen, and remind everyone it's an honor just to be nominated. It's also when the Emmy hosts prep their jokes. But not this year... because there are none. So why isn't there a 2019 Emmy host?

Though no one will come out and say it directly, viewers can probably blame the Oscars for kicking off this trend. It wasn't on purpose. The Academy Awards didn't want to go host-less. (The last time it had, in 1989, it was kind of a disaster.) But several of the choices turned the Academy down, and when finally someone did say yes, Kevin Hart, the backlash was so fierce, he wound up withdrawing.

The result was the first host-less Oscars in 30 years, and it was such a success, it was only a matter of time before others followed suit. Word was, the Emmys did have a candidate or two in mind. But instead, it was decided that rather than risk a controversy, the awards show would take up the host-less trend.

So how do the Emmys plan to handle the show without a host? Speaking to Variety, producer Guy Carrington said he expects the winners will provide enough entertainment of their own. After all, last year's big moment had nothing to do with hosts or gags or sketches. It was when director Glenn Weiss got down on one knee in front of the entire room and asked his partner to marry him.

The only problem, at the time, was that the show was already running long, and the entire thing (which the cameras never cut away from, tacked on another seven minutes):

For me in the truck, [the added time] was a horrifying moment... But at the same time, it was gold. Its what a show like this needs. You watch the clock tick away but you know that this is going to be a moment that everyone is going to talk about.

So the plan is to take out the host banter, leaving more time for these unexpected moments of live television. As co-producer Don Mischer put it:

The moment that can make or break these kinds of shows, that make them memorable, are often things producers have absolutely no control over... We dont have any idea whos going to win until the envelope is opened, and we have no control over what a winner will say. So if a winner gets up there and makes an eloquent, emotional speech about what this moment means to them, thats not something we can produce or write.

Not that the winners are totally under the gun to provide Twitter-worthy moments. The presenters will be expected to do their bit with banter. But as viewers saw with the Oscars, a little of each was just the right amount.

(Both of which, it should be noted, bear her name.) And yet, Miranda Bailey had no choice. Meredith broke the law, and DeLuca was going to jail for it. Moreover, Alex and Richard had been accomplices to it. All three were canned. So what happens now? Will Meredith get her job back? As the Grey's Anatomy Season 16 premiere promo suggests, the answer to that is "not so fast."

Let's be clear on this: What Meredith did may have felt right, but it was hugely wrong. She filled out her daughter's name and insurance info to cover a patient. In the eyes of the courts, that's insurance fraud. This is not something that is just going to go away, either. Insurance companies aren't about to let it.

In truth, Bailey had no choice in the matter. She was covering not only her own backside by firing Meredith, but protecting the whole hospital from scandal. Her personal feelings had to be set aside because too many jobs were riding on it.

So what will Meredith do with herself now that she's not practicing medicine? The new promo gives fans a first look.

That's right, Meredith is taking her lumps. She did the crime, and now she's doing the time. Orange Is The New Black may be over on Netflix, but Orange Is The New Grey has just started on ABC.

As for how others are taking it, the clip seems to indicate that the new season will indeed pick up "moments after Season 15 left off" as showrunner Krista Vernoff put it. The blended Owen Hunt family's collective response to the news Alex Karev, Richard Webber and Meredith Grey are all out on their butts mirrors the reaction of basically every fan of the series. "What?!?!"

Also, it looks like fans won't just be learning exactly how Meredith Grey and company deal with being fired. In what looks to be the first crossover with Station 19, 911 is called to rescue Jackson Avery, whose drive into the fog seems to have ended with a crash right off the road.

Don't be fooled by this. There won't be a funeral for Jackson, at least not any time soon. As TVLine reported back in June of 2019, actor Jesse Williams, who plays Jackson, re-upped his contract for two more years. That means that Jackson is hanging around through Season 17, which is as far as the show's run has extended.

So how long can fans expect to see Meredith doing her time? With a promise of a time jump during the show's premiere, one can hope by the end of the two-hour run, Grey will be heading back to the hospital where she belongs. But maybe fans shouldn't count their chickens before they hatch.

Now, newcomers like Ashley Williams and MISBHV are pushing the boundaries of what streetwear can look like and the markets it can reach, while brands like HLBLZ are carrying on the genre's skater and graphic tee-inspired roots. Ashley Williams

Having launched her label in 2013, British designer Ashley Williams is still a relative newcomer to the scene. Her designs skew higher brow and sit somewhere between casual streetwear and playful luxury (think acid wash denim and tie-dye hoodies mixed with tiered ruffled skirts and delicate mesh tops). Williams shows at London Fashion Week every season, has collaborated with Superga and Vans in the past, and boasts fans with the likes of Georgia May Jagger, Kim Kardashian-West, and Claire Barrow. If elevated streetwear is what you're after, this brand will be a total dream.

MadeMe

If you follow cool girl Paloma Elsesser on Instagram, then you probably already know about MadeMe. The buzzy model worked with the streetwear brand on a campaign promoting their 2018 collaboration with Converse, proving the immense staying power of the 12-year-old brand. Launched in new York City in 2007 by Erin Magee, MadeMe has always centered on the motto of "by girls, for girls" and is inspired by raver girls and riot grrrls alike. Cool printed co-ords, graphic tees, sweatpants, and MadeMe-emblazoned vinyl bags are just a few of the things to shop from this cult-favorite label.

HLZBLZ

Founded in 2005 by Lanie Alabanza-Barcena, AKA Misslawn, HLZBLZ blends laidback Cali cool with edgy New York grit better than pretty much any brand out there. Paying tribute to the trailblazing "bra burning" women of the 60s, the brand's slogan tees and hoodies often feature phrases with strong messages of female empowerment. Along with classic sweatshirts and crewnecks, HLBZ also offers denim and accessories you can even shop a mug the brand created in collaboration with Japanese artist, Chocomoo, so yeah, it's pretty rad.

X-girl

Seeing as Sonic Youth's Kim Gordon and her good friend Daisy von Furth were the brains behind X-girl, you know it's a brand that's going to be good. Launched back in 1994 when streetwear as a whole was just beginning to experience its global boom, the brand sought to create "real girl's clothing" and still does. Inspired by rock, military, outdoor, sports, and other facets of street culture, X-girl boasts a decidedly '90s feel and will help you nail throwback grunge.

MISBHV

In 2013, Natalia Maczek, then a Polish law student, launched MISBHV as a casual side project to make fake designer tees for her and her friends to wear out to clubs. Fast forward three years later, and the brand is staging its first presentation at New York Fashion Week. Now counting Rihanna, Billie Eilish, Kylie Jenner and more as fans, the brand has expanded into a full-fledged streetwear label, offering spacey and futuristic co-ords and dresses, graphic hoodies and tees, and more. The brand now enlists some of the buzziest models for their fashion week shows, so you know it's only going up from here.

I.AM.GIA

Only three years in and I.AM.GIA already boasts a fanbase including Bella Hadid, Romee Strjid, and Kaia Gerber. What's more, everything from the trendy brand is priced at under $200, making it legitimately accessible. No, you're not dreaming. Co-founded by Gia Carangi and Alana Pallister, the Australian brand is filled with silhouettes, colors, and cuts that are super au courant and boast that Instagram it girl appeal. Think of it as Revolve, just with a slightly more streetwear leaning twist.

Melody Ehsani

Whether you're looking for jewelry, socks, hats, tees, overalls, or hoodies, Melody Ehsani has got you covered. The designer founded her eponymous Los Angeles-based label in 2008 after deciding law school wasn't right for her, and since then, it's evolved into a well-known brand within the fashion world, counting Serena Williams and Shay Mitchell as fans (casual). Ehsani has been invited to give a TED talk and is vocal about female empowerment and entrepreneurship.

LIV Streetwear

Created by Olivia Anthony, LIV Streetwear is meant to be more than ust a brand; it's meant to be a movement. Celebrating all things '90s and '00s, it's aesthetic hinges on bright, bold colors and retro silhouettes. Think your mom's biker shorts, Fresh Prince-like sweatsuits, and jumpsuits with unexpected cutouts.
